Blackhawks are some of the safest acft in the US Military, and have the best safety record in the Army, and have added safety features that many afct dont have.. the stories you hear are largely false or completely twisted from actual truths. Blackhawks are not indestructible, but with proper maintenance they are one of the best rides you can fly in.
While I will agree with you in general, there HAVE been some huge catastrophies with the Blackhawks early in their fielding in the Army. Like most aircraft, there are "growing pains" and some things which are not prevalent during the R&D phase. In the mid-80s the Army's entire UH-60 fleet was grounded for about 9 months while they worked on solving some it's issues, mostly regarding the stabilator. With that issue solved, this acft is certain most formidable and a dream to fly.
I've worked and flown on these ACFT for 14 yrs and have never seen or heard of one just falling from the sky. Nine times out of Ten the accidents are pilot or crew error. They are safer than driving in your car to work everyday.
isnt it true that these things crash alot? cuz i heard from my friend that black hawks can just stop working ad fall outta the sky... please reply cuz im gonna ride in one maybe lol and im a bit concerned
well blackhawks if properly maintained and not pushed too hard will work just fine, a lot of these rumors are just that, the main thing that any vehicle, land or air do not like is extreme dust, places like iraq and afghanistan, the fine sand and dust can wreak havoc on an engine, but modifications they make to those make them safer to fly in areas like that, of course if you're taking a joyride in the states you have nothing to worry about
wow how long did it take you to think that up? please just stop talkin ok. and no you werent being sarcastic that wasnt even close to being sarcastic, thats what i call being a smartass.
I live in Perth, Aus and they've been flying over in formations lately.
