I listen to epic giants of power metal such as Blind Guardian, persuader, and Iced Earth, but despite the strong opposition this band has made it on my favorites list. They have a powerful sound backing great melodic string instrument, and if nothing else appeals to u, their singer is devilishly attractive. for me in power metal, the singer makes it or breaks it. She definitely makes it.

Battlelore is alright, but there are hundreds of better metal bands out there, dozens of which in this genre alone, both with and without female vocals. you give me the feeling you have many folk metal bands left to discover. so I hope you like the other ones! :) give Nebelhorn a try for instance. and I think you might like the album "The War That Plagues the Lands" by Slechtvalk, including female vocals.
