  • I have noticed that in his sonata-fantasy op.19 in G sharp minor, he also uses a binary form, the 1st movement is lyrical and the 2nd one is quite passionate, like these beautiful poems!

  • It is nice to see it in your beautiful hands; the first one is like a nocturne: emotive and sincere and the second one is quite passionate; the contrabass notes add much to create a dramatic feeling that I love!

  • @raylegea Hi, Ray. Thank you for your comment.

This poems are my most favorite piece in Scriabin's works.

The first one and the second one is very contrastive. Love them!

  • Beautifully played pennehk! Have you heard the Scriabin piano roll recording of this piece? There are very interesting.

  • Thank you for watching it. I haven't heard the Scriabin piano roll recording, I want to listen to it! I will find it!!!

  • Thanks pennehk,

Just Google Scriabin The Composer as Pianist.

    You will find it!

  • You play so many great peices. I am learning this one and it is TOUGH! I've got the first page down great, but it just gets harder and harder esp. the second time through with the larger intervals. Great job.

  • Thank you for your comment. This piece is so beautiful, but really too difficult for me. I spent about 8 months this piece. very hard piece. Thanks again.

  • I have just found your new video of the two Opus 8 etudes, which you posted yesterday. The sound is not very clear, but anyone who listens carefully will hear that it shows a much improved musical understanding of Scriabin! Congratulations!

  • Thank you for watching my videos and your comments.

Yes, I agree about your comment. This poemes were my first Scriabin. So too difficult for me, but I like Scriabin's pieces, so I continue to study. Thanks a lot!

  • I try to interest my students in Scriabin because there are many different possibilities of interpretation and it can be a useful form of learning to try to decide which possibility is best and then to rationise WHY it is best. I liked the way you played the pieces, but perhaps you should experiment by being more extreme - the more Scriabin you play, the more comfortable you will be with his style. Have you seen Tamar Shalvashvili's excellent video of the Poeme Tragique?

  • Scriabin is my hero - he's such a genius! Thank you for playing not only the first but the second Poem as well! Could be even more enraged and devastating! Scriabin was not always that nice guy :-) And I like to see flying hands in this sort of pieces :-)

  • Thank you for your advices. It's my first Scriabin.

So too difficult for me, but I like Scriabin.

Yes, my teacher also taught me to need more enraged and devastating, and flying hands. I should work hard.

    Thanks !

  • Oh no!!! not DEVASTATING please (破壊的な) :-)

I've listened several times, and I like it very much!

  • Thank you so much!!! I'm so glad. I continue to practice this piece & etude op.8-2 & 8-8 now.
