Another boring cliffhanger ending which in no way is making me eager for yet another film.
And basically the fact the it's in 3D, which IMO is a total gimick from A to Z. At least it wasnt simply converted like all the other rubbish 3D movies Hollywood keeps dishing out. Still, I'm far from impressed. Avatar didn't even impress me in 3D, and I refuse to spend an extra dime for 3D anymore...
Overused slow motion effects make the flow feel disjointed and 'fake'.

No exaplanations for the appearance of the Executioner and the Las Plagas infected zombies, or whatever the hell they are. They seem to be in for a purely aesthetic, 'cool', 3D friendly reason.
This one was a HUGE disappointment. I enjoyed the last three because they all had something different to offer and I could find good things in all of them to appreciate, but they abused the slow mo in this movie so much that it was extremely pathetic. @iverthy30 First off if the movies were for people who didn't play the games, then wouldn't the movies basically be a reflection in a mirror of the games, so to speak. Also the people who played the games don't want a completely different crap story and everything else. I hope you and AC aren't actually defending the movies, but it surely looks like it. The biggest problem is the acting, it's H-O-R-R-E-N-D-O-U-S. There are so many things wrong with the movies I could write a novel for each mov.
@iverthy30 hey i like the movies myself but you are wrong there buddy if they followed the original storyline then it would be extremely succesful.Take the Wesker-Chris fight scene from afterlife its the most interesting scene in the movie and its taken directly from RE5.Imagine if they did a whole movie like that.Yup,lots of material there people but no will to use it.Besides people who dont play the games dont know whats goin on in the first place.

I don't want to see the game's stories over and over again. This gives me that because Capcom is probably never going to give us a survival horror RE again...because RE4 & 5 were like DMC without all the cool stylisation. But we agree to disagree.

wow they only sho wjill for like 30 seconds? really? Paul have flip his swig. He should of came to me to write this movie. It would of been 10 times better this movie. Fisrt off the T-Virus does not make the people have the parasite come out their mouth. That was the parasite virus in Resident Evil 4 and 5.
An the last boss fight was too short. They should had Jill jump in and aid wesker just like in Resident Evil 5. The last fight would probably been some what better.
@metalgear01 We should be happy we get to see her at all cause Siennas schedule was full and she wasn't available for afterlife as she wasn't for extinction either. :( From what I know they even shot flashback scenes in which it shows chris with jill at the villa (I think wesker too) but they didn't included them in the final movie. There is hope though they will be in the extras on the dvd. ^_^
In the movie its a toxin wesker created. One of his experiments broke free & infected the zombies.

I was very surprised to find out about flashbacks on what happened to some characters while we where in extinction. Keep your eyes peeled for "someone familiar" at around the end of the movie. "Small Hint": His name starts with L. Make sure to watch the movie in 3D(Better than Avatar quality). Don't go to that movie if you have a weak heart. Prepare to duck 12 times btw. ^_^ 132 minutes fun! Can't wait.

I think Paul screwed up the series. He says hes such a big fan of the games, but why did he change up the story so much and have like non of the important people from the games in the movie? Carlos was like 39 in the movie when hes like 21 in the game.

@fm95master The only thing I dont like about the movies is Alice. Just making her have super powers and stuff is retarded. I like some of the stuff they did. But you have to admit that Anderson disappointed many people when he had Alice fighting Nemisis in a hand to hand combat in the second movie.
@IAMOUTBREAK They needed someone with greater powers than the normal human ones so the good side has better chances against the lickers, nemesis and other greater enemies. They gave Alice a reason why umbrella was after her and why she was against them. In Afterlife Alice loses her powers so keep your eyes peeled for some good character development. :) In my opinion they made the game chars more flexible by adding her in the movies. Nemesis was her friend as we could see.so the fight wanted. :(
@fm95master Thats dumb though. Umbrella really has no reason. Umbrella is trying to take over the world in the game and why is it that hard to make it into a movie. All the monsters you named were killed by the character you played as. The games show that you dont need powers to beat monsters with super strength. In the movies their showing that you basically need powers to beat them. Plus the clones thing is pretty dumb. The movies were decent till they added powers and clones.
@IAMOUTBREAK Umbrellas reasons was explained in the 2nd and 3rd movie They were trying to create "super soldiers"(Alice and Nemesis) through the virus. Alice and Nemesis however tried to overcome this. Alice wouldn't had killed Nemesis and when she did it was more to put him out of his misery while he wanted it himself.They shared the same fate(being controlled). Since they couldn't get ahold of alice they tried to reproduce her(Clones). Storytelling. :) Alice remained human as much as she could
@fm95master Yea. I follow the movies closely. Plus she didnt even kill Nemesis. He was killed by the helicopter that landed on him. Its just dumb what they do with the story. Like in the games Nemesis is a cold blooded killer. Than in the movies hes a person thats forced to kill and you feel sad for him. Thats what I dont like abou the movies. I mean they should tell it through someone elses point of view instead of Alice. Cause all I see is Ultraviolet vs. zombies.
@IAMOUTBREAK True, I almost forgot about that. x_X Well in the games the Nemesis just appeared in the third one without explanation about his origins, in the movies they showed us his creation and his end by explaning who he was and everything so they gave him at least a personality and more story than he actually had in the games. What I loved was the "STARZzzz" line they added btw. I remember when me and my friend were waiting & saying "they MUST have added that line" and then he said it. ^_^

@fm95master Yes but Nemesis was basically still human but really ugly and being controlled. While Tyrant was never controlled. Alexia was different. She was in a deep sleep and had the veronica virus inside of her and spent like 20 years bonding with it to control it. While in the movies they made it stupid like it was so easy to control them, when really it is actually hard. The games made it realistic. While in the movies they make it seem so easy for scientist.
@fm95master correction encase you did not play Resident Evil Gun Survivor (Resident Evil Survivor in America) the nemesis story is in that game & nemesis was made in Umbrella Europe, in the movies the producer Paul W.S. Anderson was not a fan of the 3rd game so he made his version the nemesis made in Racoon City in a lie creation of his own.
@23GummybearMs I played RE, RE2, RE3, RE Code Veronica (a bit only), RE Outbreak File 2, RE5, have watched all the movies and own RE Degeneration in Blu Ray. :) I know the survivor ones but didn't play them. Well as I wrote before, the movies have their own storyline so both games and movies are more flexible. In my opinion I would had liked it better if the movies would had been parts that taken place between the games. Thought I still love both and accepted them for what they are. :)

@LenaTatuYulya Actually no he didnt. In the games Umbrella creates their own subjects. Sometimes they test the sujbject on human. Plus the girl had the t-virus in her on the movie while Nemesis did not. He was basically just a big controlled monster. Thats one thing they could of done different. Like in the game he has the T-virus in him and has a mutation power that is nasty and makes him actually be a memorable villan. While in the movie hes just a misunderstood monster.

The woman that played Jill in the 2nd RE movie is listed on the actor list on Yahoo movie, So everyone relax....she's in the film. They just dont want everyone to know that, or they want to shock and surprise everyone. :)

Secondly, everyone that was in the movie said that AFTER the credits (you obviously didn't stay that long ^_^), Jill showed up again as the "bird lady" from RE5 commanding a airship filled with Umbrella soldiers.

Both the games and movie are A M A Z I N G. I can't wait for RE Retribution, RE6 and RE Damnation! :D This is the best year by far!

the script is old but successful. personaly i think that the story is borring because it's the forth film in row that uses and repeats the same ingredients. ΒUT the technology that used is amazing, unique. It's a new dimension of entertainment

wow they only sho wjill for like 30 seconds? really? Paul have flip his swig. He should of came to me to write this movie. It would of been 10 times better this movie. Fisrt off the T-Virus does not make the people have the parasite come out their mouth. That was the parasite virus in Resident Evil 4 and 5.
An the last boss fight was too short. They should had Jill jump in and aid wesker just like in Resident Evil 5. The last fight would probably been some what better.

@metalgear01 We should be happy we get to see her at all cause Siennas schedule was full and she wasn't available for afterlife as she wasn't for extinction either. :( From what I know they even shot flashback scenes in which it shows chris with jill at the villa (I think wesker too) but they didn't included them in the final movie. There is hope though they will be in the extras on the dvd. ^_^
In the movie its a toxin wesker created. One of his experiments broke free & infected the zombies.

I was very surprised to find out about flashbacks on what happened to some characters while we where in extinction. Keep your eyes peeled for "someone familiar" at around the end of the movie. "Small Hint": His name starts with L. Make sure to watch the movie in 3D(Better than Avatar quality). Don't go to that movie if you have a weak heart. Prepare to duck 12 times btw. ^_^ 132 minutes fun! Can't wait.

I think Paul screwed up the series. He says hes such a big fan of the games, but why did he change up the story so much and have like non of the important people from the games in the movie? Then when their in the movie he screws the characters up. Like he had Jill smoking, WTF? He made Claire into some fake badass with a bad actor to play her. Carlos was like 39 in the movie when hes like 21 in the game.

@IAMOUTBREAK They took parts from the games and umbrella is their main opponent in the movies like it was in the games before. However, bringing up the same as the games would be boring cause everyone would know what happens. This way they can keep both the games and the movies fresh. I think you will be majorly suprised with afterlife. :) Chris, Claire, Wesker, Jill are there. Watch carefully the last few scenes fo the movie. A Male character appears and his name begins with L. ;)

@fm95master The only thing I dont like about the movies is Alice. Just making her have super powers and stuff is retarded. I like some of the stuff they did. But you have to admit that Anderson disappointed many people when he had Alice fighting Nemisis in a hand to hand combat in the second movie.

@IAMOUTBREAK They needed someone with greater powers than the normal human ones so the good side has better chances against the lickers, nemesis and other greater enemies. They gave Alice a reason why umbrella was after her and why she was against them. In Afterlife Alice loses her powers so keep your eyes peeled for some good character development. :) In my opinion they made the game chars more flexible by adding her in the movies. Nemesis was her friend as we could see.so the fight wanted. :(

@fm95master Thats dumb though. Umbrella really has no reason. Umbrella is trying to take over the world in the game and why is it that hard to make it into a movie. All the monsters you named were killed by the character you played as. The games show that you dont need powers to beat monsters with super strength. In the movies their showing that you basically need powers to beat them. Plus the clones thing is pretty dumb. The movies were decent till they added powers and clones.

@IAMOUTBREAK Umbrellas reasons was explained in the 2nd and 3rd movie They were trying to create "super soldiers"(Alice and Nemesis) through the virus. Alice and Nemesis however tried to overcome this. Alice wouldn't had killed Nemesis and when she did it was more to put him out of his misery while he wanted it himself.They shared the same fate(being controlled). Since they couldn't get ahold of alice they tried to reproduce her(Clones). Storytelling. :) Alice remained human as much as she could

@fm95master Yea. I follow the movies closely. Plus she didnt even kill Nemesis. He was killed by the helicopter that landed on him. Its just dumb what they do with the story. Like in the games Nemesis is a cold blooded killer. Than in the movies hes a person thats forced to kill and you feel sad for him. Thats what I dont like abou the movies. I mean they should tell it through someone elses point of view instead of Alice. Cause all I see is Ultraviolet vs. zombies.

@IAMOUTBREAK True, I almost forgot about that. x_X Well in the games the Nemesis just appeared in the third one without explanation about his origins, in the movies they showed us his creation and his end by explaning who he was and everything so they gave him at least a personality and more story than he actually had in the games. What I loved was the "STARZzzz" line they added btw. I remember when me and my friend were waiting & saying "they MUST have added that line" and then he said it. ^_^

@IAMOUTBREAK Well it wasn't totally out of place cause if you check back the RE Degeneration or in the games the Tyrant, Alexia and others, they all were human before but changed themselves through the Serums and became "Boss Monsters". So doing Nemesis like it was in the movies wasn't too farfetched. ^_^

@fm95master Yes but Nemesis was basically still human but really ugly and being controlled. While Tyrant was never controlled. Alexia was different. She was in a deep sleep and had the veronica virus inside of her and spent like 20 years bonding with it to control it. While in the movies they made it stupid like it was so easy to control them, when really it is actually hard. The games made it realistic. While in the movies they make it seem so easy for scientist.

@fm95master correction encase you did not play Resident Evil Gun Survivor (Resident Evil Survivor in America) the nemesis story is in that game & nemesis was made in Umbrella Europe, in the movies the producer Paul W.S. Anderson was not a fan of the 3rd game so he made his version the nemesis made in Racoon City in a lie creation of his own.

@23GummybearMs I played RE, RE2, RE3, RE Code Veronica (a bit only), RE Outbreak File 2, RE5, have watched all the movies and own RE Degeneration in Blu Ray. :) I know the survivor ones but didn't play them. Well as I wrote before, the movies have their own storyline so both games and movies are more flexible. In my opinion I would had liked it better if the movies would had been parts that taken place between the games. Thought I still love both and accepted them for what they are. :)

@LenaTatuYulya Actually no he didnt. In the games Umbrella creates their own subjects. Sometimes they test the sujbject on human. Plus the girl had the t-virus in her on the movie while Nemesis did not. He was basically just a big controlled monster. Thats one thing they could of done different. Like in the game he has the T-virus in him and has a mutation power that is nasty and makes him actually be a memorable villan. While in the movie hes just a misunderstood monster.

@tyrantywon first of all it was said there are flashbacks of the villa that shows what happened to jill while the others were in extinction(short one though). Secondly, everyone that was in the movie said that AFTER the credits (you obviously didn't stay that long ^_^), Jill showed up again as the "bird lady" from RE5 commanding a airship filled with Umbrella soldiers.

@fm95master Yea. Jill wasnt the bird lady in the movie. She was just wearing that uniform that Wesker made her wear. She was the bird lady when she put that big ass cloth over her body and the mask on.
