I took the video and spoke with the inspector afterwards. The inspector is from the Coast Guard base in Cape May NJ. From my experience most of these high school JROTC cadets do not go into the military. Some do go to a military college such as Norwich University. The platoon leader in this video joined the Marines and one of the platoon members joined the Marine Reserves.
Did I hear him say "thread on rope" @1:07????? "ROPE"? There is no such thing as "ROPE". Can I get the name of this inspector? Chief needs extra training
@TrueInnovator159 The enlisted man is being referred to by his job as an inspector, in which case you say "sir" instead of his rank...but if you look closely you can see that this man does not have rank on visible on his uniform.
His smokey the bear hat suggests he's a drill instructor and blue uniform suggests air force, meaning he could be anywhere from a Senior Airman (lowest drill instructor/MTI rank) to a Chief Master Sergeant.
@Raktoner Hmm... I did not notice that. Well at least SOMEONE with a brain was able to point out something smart before countering my comment, lol. Later bro
@whygod1105 Why would this make you not want to be an American? It's an inspection for NJROTC (Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps) so they're not military yet and probably won't be in the actual military for some time. All I have to say though is the military from your country does the same thing with inspections and they probably say the same things to the people being inspected.
@whygod1105 Clearly you haven't a clue bud. Discipline is part of any military you will find anywhere in the world. If this is your reasoning for not wanting to be American, you clearly haven't a clue as to what you're talking about, buddy. A high school NJROTC inspection is a piss poor excuse to hate America.
@draken222 For Christ sakes bud, there's obviously much discipline in the real military... Much needed, but none at all when you're dealing with high school RCAC and Reserve Forces.
@whygod1105 so high school NJROTC cadets aren't disciplined and can't face discipline? What happens when they graduate high school and go in the military and end up in afghanistan 4 months later? Are they still not in need of discipline? Better yet, what does your argument of ROTC cadets and reserve forces not needing discipline have to do anything with you're original comment of "Wow, i am so glad im not American."???
@draken222 Im saying cadets don't need the dicsipline you yanks give them, and reserve forces around the world simply don't have any.... And if you haven't noticed, theres somthing called BMQ , you don't fit the requirement by when they need you, they don't use you... That include discipline.
// you brought up the conversation about dicspline... Not me bud.
@whygod1105 I did bring up discipline first, you are correct. I still don't understand what you're argument is for not wanting to be American, but hey, I'm glad you're not American as well. Clearly you're military isn't all too familiar with winning battles so they put discipline on the back burner so that laziness and being unqualified for action can take center stage. Don't worry, we'll bail you out again when you're undisciplined military can't handle their own and need us yanks to come in :)
You really need to grow some commen sense and look back on how many time the Canadian military dug you out when you were knee deep in someone elses shit... like you always are....
@whygod1105 Thats a joke right? Canada saving American ass? I would go read up, but the book "Canada: America's Savior" doesn't exist. Man up pussy, our military is ready to go 24/7, and yes, our reserves actually do go in combat so they do need to be in shape, i'm glad you can make excuses for your military failing to be ready for the fight reserve or not.
wow this is the nicest inspecter ever, i had a guy take my rifle and ask what my rifle number was and then he asked me to square it, thankfully a senior told me to memorize random stuff and i memorized, the insturcter thought i was lying and grabbed a calculater
this is nothing like how we do it at Area 3 West-this is pretty different. we use all Navy RDIs for all the inspections and judging. we also hold on Great Lakes Naval base.
Hey Coast Guard DI, you might want to fix yourself (i.e. your own brass on brass and the lack thereof on your uniform) prior to being the example to inspect cadets or anyone next time. But then again, perhaps there is a standard of acceptable imperfections that are authorized in CG regulations that govern wear and appreance of uniform. And the fact that he keeps referring to the blouse as a 'shirt', wow, what a tangled military bearing we weave in the CG cadre corral.
#1 this was BEFORE the secretary of the Navy had changed
#2 If that's what he thought it was, then heck that's who the secratary of the navy is! if he asks the same questions to anyone else, they'll reply the same as the commander. He probably didn't even know who the secretary of the navy was then.
@Thegamer5150 actually at the time that this video was filmed and posted Mabus had not yet taken office as Secretary of the navy...he did not take office until June 18 of that year.
