Kennedy didn't win because he didn't have support. Scott Brown got the votes, and this Kennedy guy got close to 1 percent. Just because there are more unenrolled voters than Democrats, does not mean they have to vote for Independents. You vote for the man or woman you want to, it's people who don't understand the platforms of the candidates that cause Democrats to get voted in over and over. I don't vote for a party, but Republicans are the lesser of two evils.

It's very simple; Scott Brown won because of his political views. Martha Coakley lost because of her political views.
Kennedy was a nobody.
Brown is center/right
Coakley is far left, and in line with the Socialist Barrack Obama. The American people are loudly rejecting Obama plan for America, IF, you can decipher WTF it is, as he's let those two fools Reid & Pelosi run amok, as he lurks in the shadows, when he's not lecturing to the American people like they're little children.

I'll admit, as a party the Democrats are slipping, yet when you look at the Republican's track record for the year, what have they done? They have supported big banks and Wall street, they have provided junk legislation to slow down process...I think its hypocritical for a Tea Party to support the GOP, when they are directing our tax dollars into the pockets of lobbyists and CEOs.

You need to get educated in the parliamentary procedures of the senate. Joe Biden is allowed one vote ONLY if there is a tie not because there is a filibuster. Dems have 60 votes, oh excuse me, only 59 votes which INCLUDE the 2 independents who caucus with the dems. Liebermann is one of them who's vote the dems can't always count on. NO Republican is voting for government run healthcare, cap and tax, card check or anything else on the socialist agenda.

I'm not a Republican but Scott Brown seems like a nice enough guy and I'm willing to give him a chance as Senator. At least he seems willing to reach across the aisle to work with everyone, unlike a lot of others.
