Level 42 at its best, it all went wrong when the Gould brothers left in 1986 and when Mark King gained too much of the attention within the band focusing on becoming a "pop" band only when they did great jazz/funk albums in the early days. What a shame also when in 1991 when Allan Holdsworth joined they did not use him at his full potential. This is a great tune, so typical of what Level 42 could do. Thanks for posting.
Finally, all good things will come for those who wait. This track is a hidden juwel. Mark King proves again that he's also a great fingerstyle player. Mike Lindup, Boon and particularly Phil Gould are also playing great on this track.
great track, one of their best but wasn't given the merit and attention it deserved.
