If you're new to pinback, I recommend you work your way backwards from newest to oldest, start with Autumn of the seraphs, all the back to their self-title.

That said, my personal favorite is blue screen life (this songs off that one). then probably summer in abbadon, then autumn of the seraphs, then self-titled. all solid albums though.

there's truly no one like pinback. I guess maybe imitators, names of whom I dont care to recall. But if you like pinback, you might dig The Sea and Cake, Jim O' Rourke, shit like that. John McEntire, of course, of Gastr Del Sol and Sea and Cake fame. Try any of those guys out, you'll find some damn intelligent song writing and lyrics coupled together. As far as Pinback is concerned, what I enjoy the most about them is their ability to layer vocal tracks the way they do.
