  • I great facts video and message, even my friend that is a RC Priest said...

" Love it. Very funny "

    Thanks Gay Oops I meant...

    Thanks Jay :)

  • "smack them crackers down" OMG i ROLLED at that line lol

  • Awsome Vid Jay, I remember playing this back on wkjce years ago now its nice to watch it maybe some will learn the us was never a christian nation but maybe not and go on believing in the fairy tale, I did find it interesting that you used the nazi flag and etc since some evidence seems to point out that in fact Hitler himself was a christian and was a big supporter of "positive Christianity" and alot of his speeches support indeed he was a christian, anyway great job on the vid

  • @JoanneLynn69 Thanks JL -- I'm just trying to get the conversation started.

    Cheers Grrrl!

  • wow, isn't that Richard Riehlie playing the big bearish guy in the beginning? He seems to be in more gay roles these days....so big and cute...and rather exciting seeing him gettin' some lovin'! Thanks for posting! :-P

  • @svankmaj Yup that's him alright, and what a sweetheart is he! Such a pleasure to work with, a true professional.

    Jay

  • No black folk can't marry white folk! Really, how stupid is that?

Let's get on and get over that crazy religious separation!

  • @Bentehest It was less than 50 years ago, that black folk can't marry white folk in many states. I mean, really.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • fuk relijon

  • You should turn this into a full-length musical.

  • Very Catchy.

Comedy and blasphemy, what a combo!

  • Comment removed

  • @gmawjune Ha! As you see, we like to keep ourselves amused.

    Cheers!

    Jay

  • You heard the man Christians.........GET THE HELL OUT! :-) Goddess bless your ignorant lives

  • :D

  • I'd like to re-screen this for all those voting in the 2012 election and that you need to get this out there again. This whole Rick Perry from Texas is from this same ilk. The whole "Tea Party" fundamentals, ultimately wants less "government interference." Well, is not having Perry from Texas any less than this video, ultimately? Is that what they really want? because that's the door they are opening and, by their standards, really want.

  • Thanks for the video Jay! I personally have no problem with Christians, as long as they know their place!

  • Go ahead. run us out of town. That would be the best thing you could do for our own good. We need that separation. In being exiled, we are free. Then let's see how free are thee.

  • @draphaelc "The truth will set you free" -- not fairy tales, folklore, or revisionist history. And especially not condemning people who don't have the same religion as you. So find a nice magic island where all your fairy tales can come true, good luck w/ that, and leave us real people in the real world out of it.

    Cheers dude!

  • nice!

  • Outstanding! Straight to fav's! Encore!! XD

  • Thank you for this...It's bloody GREAT :0

  • @Herselffilm You are welcome! Spread the word! -- Cheers grrrl JAY

  • This video should have well over a million views. I agree that the name needs to be easier to find. Great song, I've done my part to share it to as many friends as possible.

  • @ddiver2005 Thanks for pimpin' me out to all your pals! :o) Any suggestions about the name?

  • @jayspearsmusic Actually, I'm beginning to think the view counter is frozen. I've shared this, received confirmation that people have seen it and shared it, and the number has stayed at 75,365 for the past two hours. I would spell the song, "Smack them christians down (Smak dem christians down). So then, I presume if people searched for it, they could find it by spelling it correctly. Anyway, keep up the great work and I'm going to keep my eye on that counter.

  • this video would've got a lot more views if it didn't have a bastardized title

  • @WickedJargon I'm down for that. Any suggestions?

  • @jayspearsmusic on the title? yes, "smack them christians down". i'm thinking it would've got a lot more views with a proper title.

  • There is only one way to forgive, and thats from the heart :)

  • @brotherfrank62 Heya Bro Frank; I've got nothin' to forgive -- Christians have to git over their bigotry, self-righteousness, and whitened-sepulchered hypocrisy, and quit using their pathetic scriptures as justification for homophobia the same way they did to justify their slavery of "curse of Cain" blacks. Feel me?

    Cheers dude,

    Jay

  • More Christians need to: 1) listen to Greg Boyd's 'The Cross and the Sword' sermon series and/or, 2) read his book 'The Myth of a Christian Nation' & part 2 'The Myth of a Christian Religion'. I think if Christian followed his interpretation of Christian politics, songs like this wouldn't get sung about us. Shane Claiborne also has some good reads, 'Jesus for President' & 'Irresistible Revolution'. 'Mere Discipleship' by Lee Camp. 'Gods Politics' by Jim Wallis. 'The Politics of Jesus' by Yoder

  • hooold up the bill of rights and wack wack wack um on the heeead! lmao i love this song.

  • So this is how the Jefferson Bible was made.

  • @PeacefulAtheist1 Yup; he cut and pasted his own Bible, leaving out the miracles.

  • Is the judge saying "negros" or "niggers"? Don't like either phrase but don't like not knowing things

  • @OukaKisa Well here's the sad & grotesque inside truth. From our uncles in Alabama, my bros & sisters and I learned the sophomoric "I didn't REALLY say it" term "nigra". How pathetic is that? My aunts & uncles would always use it. drove my mom crazy. Times have changed there now, and my cousins aren't at all like that older generation was. Cheers Jay

  • Insanely great video and song!

    Thanks!

  • I believe in God...but honestly..this video is EPIC!! keep being Awesome dude!! :) lol silly little radical christians

  • Amazing video, sharing this everywhere. Hope you've been keeping up the amazing work =]

  • I like the guy who plays Uncle Sam, he really looks like him!

  • It's funny 'cos it's true!

  • @ewokbane Me too! Oh, wait, if you meant me, I only LOOK self-righteous when I'm standing next to ignorant bigots, homophobes, racists, and haters.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • @jayspearsmusic Liberals are ignorant bigots, racists and haters. Plus, how ironic that leftists claim to support gay rights while defending radical Islam.

  • @StoogeWatcher -- I'd call President Obama a liberal. You think he's an ignorant bigot & hater? What a putz.

  • @jayspearsmusic you're both wrong. Stoogewatcher, leftists don't defend radical Islam (but the radical religious right DOES because they share values), and Obama IS an ignorant bigot. (Sorry, but the day you can be against same-sex marriage, and NOT be a bigot passed by about a year ago).

  • @rg0057 Good point! Though I'm not sure I'd equate shameless political expediency with being an ignorant bigot. It's pretty stupid to be AGAINST Prop 8 AND against gay marriage. From the Huffington Post: "Noting the president's opposition to DOMA, he [Evan Wolfson, the director of Freedom to Marry] asks: "If he's willing to be against 'against marriage', why can't he just be for marriage?" -- Jay

  • @ewokbane

"The one thing I dislike more than a radical christian is a self-righteous atheist"

    _

I hate it when self righteous atheists bomb abortion clinics, fly airplanes into buildings, or kill their children during a witch exorcism, or create a second class citizen based on color or sexual orientation....

(/i.e. you can dislike people who make fun of religious folks more than the effects religion has when not kept in check, but that's your hurdle to overcome)

  • THis video is a work of art and I post it every chance I get. My Faorite Vid of all YT times!!!

  • @Clemburke1111 Thanks CB, for the comment and for pimpin' me out to all your pals! I appreciate it!

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • I've had this song stuck in my head for over a week. Could be worse, at least it's an awesome song!

  • At first a vestigial reverence called me to be offended, but then I remembered that the people being parodied in this video are the same people who (quite seriously) think I should go to hell. I think that this is hardly offensive in comparison.

  • Ha Ha Ha Fucking Awesome Great Vid!!!!

  • @GargleMyMayonaze thanks GMM -- and your user name is a very, um, arresting visual....

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • Darnit! I wish the UK kept church and state separate. Those pesky Anglicans could really do with a smack down...

But anyway, love the song! Hella funny.

  • Genius!!! Can't stop singing it now!! I'll have to stop before my bible-bashing mates come back :P.... or maybe not!! :D

  • @andemening From your lips to God's ears! Oh, wait, I forgot I'm an atheist. Cheers!

    Jay

  • Is that preacher guy the same guy who was in The American Astronaut? (see Hey Boy Hey Boy)

    Cool video!

  • @DarwinsChihuahua -- nope this is Richard Riehle, whom I bet you've seen in many a movie & TV show; google him! He taught at the college I went to & we've been pals ever since and he's a great big sweetheart besides being exceptionally talented.

    Cheers dude!

    Jay

  • Thank you, awesome video and good song! I wish there was something more like this in Sweden, who's gotten more and more conservative and christian during the last couple of years. Sure, we gays can marry, but parts of the government is still fighting to take away our rights! Thanks man!

  • @ninjadixon you are welcome -- cheers! Jay

  • @jayspearsmusic And Richard Riehle must be the busiest actor on earth right now! I dig him and it was fun seeing him showing up in your video!

  • Todays version of Christ' Jesus's message is not the truth. St Paul is partly responsible for the theology we have today which is basically a rerun of judiasm. Its theology has some insanity in it passing itself off as the word of God. Constantine really helped to establish it as the only religion of the roman empire. What if the Thomas Gospel were the only Holy scripture ? The worlld would be a different place and christian thought would look like Bhuddism.

  • @ricktuck1 Your christ did not exist.

  • @ricktuck1 You are right to some extent. Paul was the only "disciple" (since he never actually met jesus by his own admission) who was trying to create a distinct separate religion from Judaism. All the others were trying to integrate jesus into Judaism but the jews knew what was what. Jesus was not the dude talked about in Isaiah. Unfortunately people have a tendency of taking prophecies and changing their meaning after some event.

    -Atheist

  • Well that was fantastic!

  • LOVE it!!! ALL religions are fairy-tales...stories and rules to squash individuality. Thank you Jay Spears...wonderful!

  • Lol who's little kid is that toward the end?

  • I'll never tire of this video. Oh, how Christianity disgusts and bores me so. It is, as Friedrich Nietzsche stated, the one immortal blemish upon the human race. Also, Abe continuing the beatdown after the music ends never ceases to amuse me. :'>

  • @estrangedlittlegirl Thank you! Just tryin to keep us all amused. Tell yer pals, especially de Christian ones!

    Cheers grrl

    Jay

  • @estrangedlittlegirl you have every right to your opinions, but I personally think that fighting bigotry and ignorance with bigotry and ignorance is always doomed to fail.

  • @DarkWillUser You're saying my comment is bigoted and ignorant? Suck my left one.

  • @estrangedlittlegirl sorry sweetie, I don't do the beef curtains and bearded clams.

  • @DarkWillUser Oh, no. How will I ever go on.

  • Classic...best music video i've ever seen! Oh wait, will i go to hell for enjoying that so much? LOL!

  • @XXXodus See ya there!

    Cheers dude!

    Jay

  • There's such a thing as the secular right, just so you know. There are also fundamentalist radicals on the left, so the whole right wing thing wasn't really necessary, but hey that's just me.

  • That was funny. I got my laugh for the day.

  • Might be funnier if the pastor in the opening looked more like Ted Haggard. Was the Haggard scandel the inspiration to the opening or was that an interesting coincidence?

  • @Symos Yup I wish we had a Ted Haggard lookalike, because the character of the preacher was totally based on him, with a little Fred Phelps thrown in. Then when we were shooting, the whole Larry Craig thing came down, and we were gonna put our preacher in a bathroom stall playing footsie, but never got around to it. So many Smak-down deserving Christians, so little time!

    Cheers dude,

    Jay

  • Ah yes the silly putdown. It's kind like what they did to Jesus. He tried to tell them the truth, but they would'nt listen. It's o.k., I'll still pray for you. Would'nt that be cool to know that you're going to heaven beyond a shadow of a doubt. If I see you there one day, that would be sweet. It's totally possible

  • Your imaginary religion with its fairy-tale ending is what's silly. Grow up, wake up. "When I was a child I spoke as a child ... now that I am a man, I have put away childish things" like the pathetically self-serving delusion that you or anyone else is going to "heaven". Not possible, not true, not real.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • Thing is, Ted openly denounced homosexuality. A well known example of this is in the movie Jesus Camp. So when it came out he was gay and paying for certain services, of course people may mock.

It is kinda sad though. As Ted went to one of those "Pray the gay away" camps, it shows he can't accept himself because of these belifs.

  • That's pretty much the whiniest, most passive-aggressive, condescending, petty thing I've ever read. And you wonder why people can't stand Christians.

  • They need to play this in schools!

  • @minnesotavikingsnfl I'm all for that!

    Cheers dude!

    Jay

  • Not all christians act this way, just the silly ones.. maybe this person who made this had a bad experience.. probably!

  • @14greg14 Heya Greg -- yep, I did have a bad experience with silly Christians... like you for example, who say ignorant things like "It's sad that they choose do live like this". You can believe that b.s. if you want; it is a free country after all, but I made my video to keep bigoted religious ideas like that out of our government and public policy. Separation of Church and State protects people like me from people like you.

    Cheers dude!

    Jay

  • Yeah nice biblical backup, I pray you see truth one day, ya silly goose!

  • I don't need backup, silly gander, though you might want to try "judge not", "do unto others" and "let he who is without sin...". Nothing marks an ignoramus more clearly than his certainty that he holds "the truth". Yours was written by people who didn't even know what a planet or a star or a galaxy was. If you grow up, you'll take responsibility for your own self, rather than lazily handing it over to some irrelevant ancient tribal text. Only then will you have any moral integrity.

    Cheers dude!

  • SMACK THEM christians down

  • @drock272 Thanks, I will! Woncha join me?

  • @jayspearsmusic Yes I I wanna bitch slap them down

  • Wait till you die and see that I was right and you were wrong..That day i wish never were to happen to you mockers, but if you don't repent and accept Jesus as God alone (and really mean it) you will be eternally lost without Him..SCARRY!

THE WORLD GETS SMACKED DOWN IN THE END..you can laugh now, but I assure you if you don't become a christian, you will NOT be laughing in hell (the bible says there will be NASHING of teeth! Wow don't want that for even you

  • Hahahahahahahahaha. Fuck offf you stupid false god worshiping stupid evil christian bitch.

  • @14greg14 Why would your loving gawd want to SMACK DOWN his/her precious creations? All this blather from you xtians: save the babies, all life is precious; don't even destroy your eggs or semen; yet your gawd would wipe it out in an instant. Ever think much?

  • @14greg14

Man, do you sound desperate. Just who are you trying to convince of your "scarry" beliefs.

  • I remember when I first saw this 2 years ago. Still very catchy and very true. GOOD JOB!!!

  • @XE3iojx Thank you I appreciate it!

    Cheers, Jay

  • God still loves them..It's sad that they choose do live like this though.. maybe they'll repent..I pray they do

  • @14greg14 How is it sad? It's their choice that they wanna do this, it's their free will as a living being. To be held down in shackles by your god just cause you say so doesnt mean it's sad. I find it good that they are actually makin music about this in a country full of christans and not worried about the hate they would get. It's not the middle ages anymore and they have every right to say what they want, that is why America is based on Freedom of speech...

  • Good song. Very amusing too. If only christians would stop demaninding special treatment for thier religion while stamping on others. Does "under God" really need to be in the pledge? Does "in God We Trust" need to be on money?

  • @Symos "under God" was only added to the pledge in the '50s as a bulwark against dem heathen Commies. Nope, it does not need to be there....

  • All you have to do is repent and you will be saved

  • Or you can press start and select "save game"

  • Lucky for you, our country was founded on christian doctrines. Yes, it is deminishing, but there is still hope for you yet

  • Sorry, but to be honest, but I prefer Anton LaVey's Satanism than christianity. I don't like hating your friends and family while loving your enemies.

  • @14greg14 Boy are you an ignoramus. Our country was founded on principles of the Enlightenment, which I bet you never even heard of, and not "doctrines" of any kind. I guess you think all the Founding Fathers were devout Christians like you? They were all much too smart for that. Watch the video; you might learn something.

    Cheers pathetically uneducated dude,

    Jay

  • XD roflmao, i love it, normally im pretty open minded about what others believe, as long as they dont press there believes on me or have it effect my daily life, but once they pull that bible out or start resiting phrases from there favorite book, the sleeve on my left shoulder goes up and the first thing outa my mouth, keep rambling you know you are talking to a proud satanist right? keep up the good work Jay

  • @jcreaper666 HA! Dang would love to see their face when that goes down.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • Jesus loves you still. He wants to spend eternity with you

  • Your doing a great job Jay, you have gained a fan.

By the way I heard this dong on the chariots of iron podcast and had to see it.

  • @airsoftmasterz Thank you sir, stay tuned for more on the way.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • I love this video and all, but Abe Lincoln wasn't a founding father. o_o

  • @Moralgo Nope. I threw him in as a bonus. :o)

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • @jayspearsmusic Oh ok.

    Thanks, you too. : )

  • @Moralgo you are sure welcome! I didn't have room in my song for Thomas Paine, who said he "disbelieved" all religions, and James Madison, who said: "Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise". I guess I needed a ten-minute song to get in ALL the non-Christian founding fathers.

    Cheers dude

    Jay

  • Hysterical. I like Jay, what's not to like!

Maybe you could do one about "protecting marriage" (by outlawing divorce). Too bad gay people didn't have as good legal representation at church as the divorced people did. Keep it up, buddy. You're so hot.

  • Jesus Christ has returned. I AM.

  • This is awesome. Great message. Not to mention funny! Christians have always been at the front cause of oppression of human rights.

We have been moving away from democracy and soon we will be a theocracy if we are not careful.

I have always wondered why we don't see Christians protesting in front of other churches that don't share their dogmatic views. But instead choose to protest Homosexuality and a persons' rights for equality.

  • OK..so i just watched this music video..and in a country where its a hate crime for school kids to tease other kids by calling them gay...how is THIS not considered hate speech?

  • It's ok to hate ignorance

  • I love this video so GODDAMN much. I wish those Neanderthals would fucking die off already. Seriously. Gay should be the norm, in my opinion.

  • Down you go

  • The butt is for exit only

  • Oh, Greg, baby. That's not what you were saying (more like screaming for) the other night. Y'know, when you were begging for that large black dildo. Honestly, I've had femme pussy manlier than you.

  • funny song!i love it

  • Amazing.

I need to go smack one now.

  • Go smack a priest instead? Notre Dame stinks

  • I must've missed the part of the NEW TESTAMENT that says Christians should kill homosexuals.

  • 1: You cannot ignore the old testament just because you're a Christian. If you do, then how do you know Jesus was the Messiah?

    2: Read Romans 1:26-28 and 1:31-32

  • and 1. Corinthians 6:9-10

  • I don't ignore it, I just know we aren't under the old law anymore. Further, it says "worthy of death" as many heterosexuals arguably are. It doesn't say WE should be the ones to kill them.

  • The NT is lighter on the murder than the OT, sure, but guess who's not getting into heaven?

    I Corinthians 6:9-10

9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

  • True. Not while they are unrepentant.

  • @ronarprfct That makes a lot of sense. "Let's make gay people, then make them go to hell for being gay, unless they repent for being the way we made them!"

Great work on that one, biblegod.

  • I never said gay people were "made". I don't believe anyone is born gay. Nice try, though, dummy.

  • Well, you see, the great thing about reality is that it doesn't care what you "believe". You can't argue against evidence with myth.

Well, obviously YOU can, but that's only because you're a delusion asshat.

  • The evidence doesn't indicate that people are born homosexual. Further, try "delusional asshat". "Delusion" is a noun. Delusional is an adjective. Learn the difference.

  • And see, this is why YouTube needs an "edit comment" button.

I'll play this your way for now, though. Assuming that people aren't born gay/bi/het, then why do they identify that way? What determines who someone is attracted to, and why is it wrong to be attracted to someone of the same gender?

  • I don't see a need to edit my comment, but agree an edit comment button would sometimes be useful. I am of the opinion that people's natures can and do become perverted, and that includes "heterosexuals". Homosexuality is a perversion of the normal sexual nature. It is wrong to have sexual intercourse with someone of the same gender and it is also wrong to indulge homosexual thoughts and feelings, just as it is wrong for me to indulge sexual feelings and thoughts concerning my sister-in-law.

  • No, I meant my comment, but whatever.

Do you have anything to back this up other than "The Goatherd's Guide to the Universe"? Because you may want to do some reading on what the actual evidence says.

And even if it weren't "natural" why would being gay be wrong? Who does it hurt? What's the harm?

  • I would say it USUALLY only harms the people involved in the homosexual acts, UNTIL they start promoting the idea that homosexuality is ok, spreading it in every form of media and trying to indoctrinate children with this belief. I wouldn't necessarily have a problem with them teaching their children these things, but likewise must demand that they don't try to teach MY children these things against my will, or in public schools paid for with my tax money.

  • That's not what your mother said last night when I had her bent over a turnstile.

  • @ronarprfct Then home-school them you ignorant bigot. While you're there you can teach them that black people should be slaves and that Jews should be incinerated for killing your savior. Luckily, most kids these days know better than you, and they'll likely be fine once they're away from your perverting influence. Unless you live in some ghetto backwater, schools these days, by law, teach tolerance and respect for other people, one thing Christians like you can't claim.

  • It shouldn't be necessary to home school them, and the ability to home school them as we like is under constant attack anyway. Look bigot up on wiktionary and you will see how well you fit the bill. Neither I nor the bible ever said that black people should be slaves or that Jews should be killed. Nice try, dillweed. Do you even know how idiotic you sound? "Most kids know better..." Yeah, right, that is why they run the planet-oh wait, sorry, it is adults who do that. Be respectable.

  • I assume you also oppose the teaching of heterosexual ideas to gay children then on OUR tax money.

  • Heterosexual is the natural way, the right way, and what has always been, and you are very much in the minority, but then, tyranny of the majority is still tyranny, which is why states' rights should be upheld. You can have your states where you teach your children homosexuality is ok, and we can have ours where we teach our children it isn't ok.Barring that, just teach my children what they actually need to know, like English and arithmetic, and let ME do the teaching concerning homosexuality.

  • Heterosexuality is not normal - it's common. And they are not 'your' children - they belong to themselves, and THEY get to decide what they learn by virtue of what they will accept and what they will reject by the use of their own minds, not yours.

  • Until they are 18 years old they are my children, as in under my charge and care, and I will raise them as I see fit. They can decide such things by the use of their own minds once their minds have been given a chance to develop sufficiently.

  • To develop sufficiently it must not be filled up with garbage. Teach them things that is based on evidence.

PS: Christianity (and also other religions) can develop to a psychological nightmare

  • I've as much evidence for my beliefs as you have for yours. What proof do you have that Christianity can develop into a "psychological nightmare".

  • Yes, heterosexuality is natural. As is homosexuality, as demonstrated by the abundance of homosexual behavior in the animal kingdom. Similarly, homosexuality also "has always been". Just because your religious influence is waning and allowing us to be more open doesn't mean we haven't always been there.

And why not teach your children nothing regarding homosexuality and let them develop an opinion naturally? Without your bigoted, religion-based influence, they would likely find no fault in it.

  • Because I believe in my religion enough to practice it, and part of practicing it is raising my children "in the nurture and admonition of the lord". The bible commands parents to raise their children as Christians, so any attempt to stop us doing that is an attempt to deny us our constitutionally guaranteed freedom of religion. You raise your kids how you like, and I will raise mine how I like. You start trying to raise mine how YOU like, and we have a problem that will end in bloodshed.

  • Your type are rarely content to allow others to raise their children as they see fit. You want school-supported prayer to indoctrinate others' children. You do not want the scientifically accepted fact that homosexuality is a natural part of human existence to be taught in school. You do not want the fact of evolution to be taught in school.

Your religion only lives by the teaching of ignorance and blind faith as virtues instead of the dreck they really are.

  • "Your type". That is called "stereotyping", and proves what an imbecile you really are. I don't want "school-supported" prayer, I want "school-allowed" prayer, as in, if a bunch of people want to voluntarily pray together or separately, that is their right. I have no interest in wasting my time or the tax-payer's time and money trying to indoctrinate other people's children about anything, I just don't want them indoctrinating my children against what I am trying to teach them about God.

  • Homosexuality being a "natural part of human existence" is still very much up for debate, so either provide some real evidence or shut up about it. Concerning evolution, most people call it the "theory" of evolution. I do believe God endowed animals and humans with the ability to adapt to their environments to some extent, but do not believe, nor is it conclusively proven, that apes and man share a common ancestor. That is called a theory, not a fact. Learn the difference.

  • Learn what a theory is in a scientific context.

    Evolution Happens = Fact

Why Does Evolution Happen? = Theory

Theory is the highest level of scientific truth. To be a Theory, something must explain a collection of related facts, and have absolutely no dissenting evidence. The only time "law" is used is to describe scientific mathematical formulas.

Also, it has been conclusively proven that humans and other great apes have a common ancestors. We have mountains of fossil and DNA evidence.

  • I guess you never heard of the missing link? Get informed, there IS no CONCLUSIVE proof of the common ancestor theory.

  • Yes, there is. The "missing link" hasn't been missing for years. You're simply behind on your scientific literature. This is not surprising, as you don't WANT to be proven wrong, so you don't look for information that would prove you wrong. In fact, we now have more human ancestor fossils that we ever could have dreamed of finding, far more than would be needed to conclusively prove our relation to other apes. And then there's still DNA evidence.

  • Sorry, I should have said "missing links" as there are far more than 1 of them, and many are still missing. I've seen the DNA evidence, and it fails for the same reason. God gave animals on this planet similar dna because it serves these animals well as it is, with very little difference from one kind of animal to another. You don't redesign a bowl just so another person can eat. The bowl works well for both of them, and dna, with little modification, works well for all animals and man.

  • It hasn't NOT been found in any mammal species that has had its sexual behavior examined...

  • Students already have a right to pray on their own, if they so choose. What is not allowed is for the school to endorse, organize, or force prayer on the students. Students praying on their own? Just fine. A teacher leading students in prayer? That's against the law.

As for what you're trying to teach your children about God, what you're trying to teach them is immoral. Hatred is against the very nature of Christ, who loved everyone. But then, Christians are very rarely Christ-like.

  • I don't WANT teachers leading prayer, I just think children should be given time and opportunity to pray, if they like. I haven't tried to teach hatred to anyone. Me saying homosexuality is wrong is NOT the same as me saying I hate homosexuals-in point of fact, I have 2 in my family and love them both. I understand that a simpleton like yourself can't understand the difference between "disagrees with" and "hates", but please do try.

  • @ronarprfct Exactly like saying you have black slaves whom you "love", but of course they're slaves because your religion says they should be. I'll say it again: Intolerance, teaching hatred, burning witches and each other, exterminating Jews, enslaving blacks, wiping out indigenous populations, and sodomizing minors in your care is what Christians like you do best. "By their fruits shall ye know them."

  • Christians like me don't do those things. Pay attention. You are the intolerant, bigoted one, for assuming all Christians are the same.

  • Do you, personally, do those things? No. Do you, or those like you, do anything to stop the nuts who do? No. You give silent consent to the abuses of others, as you will not speak out, because you believe them to be right, even if you don't have the fortitude to actually do what your religion teaches you to.

  • Bullhockey. I am not responsible for the actions of anyone but myself, dummy. Further, you can't possibly know what I "speak out" against, as you have only had interaction with me in this very limited discussion. Also, most of the offenses listed are not happening in the country I reside in, and I am very much a believer in respecting the sovereignty of other countries. It is an application of the golden rule. We wouldn't want other countries meddling in our business.

  • @ronarprfct Nope, I only think all hypocrite bigot homophobe Christians are the same. I absolutely understand your wish to distance yourself from your kindred spirits, but JUST LIKE YOU, your bygone brethren used their religion as an excuse and a disguise for their racism, misogyny, slavery, torture, and mass murder. If you truly want to be different from them, quit being a bigoted intolerant hater homophobe.

  • There's the problem, dummy, I am not a racist, misogynist, slaver, torturer or mass murderer. It is about actual facts, and the fact is I have committed any actions like those. Neither am I intolerant, hateful, or afraid of homosexuality or homosexuals. You have made it abundantly clear that YOU are intolerant of anyone who believes in the bible. YOU are bigoted and hateful. Your hate blinds you.
