grace was a great ballplayer...great glove, lead MLB in hits for a DECADE...and a CLUTCH hitter...just never hit alot of homers in a power position....i saw 99% of the games he played as a cub and he hustled every play...some of these guys today dont run hard to first in the PLAYOFFS for cryin out loud!

I always thought Mark Grace was such a class act and great ball player, its sad he never got to play for the Cardinals at least for a stretch run at the end of a season. Instead he waisted the best years of his career with the second class team in Chicago.

I don't think anybody would argue Mark could hit bombs without any juice. In my opinion he would of never of broken the record without them, not because roids that he took made him hit the ball farther, but because he was able to swing the bat every day because of the quick healing affects of the roids.
