It would have been interesting to see a live action crossover film of Beetlejuice and Ghostbusters with Keaton, Murray, Ramis, Akyroyd and Hudson; It could have been that maybe the Deetzes and the Maitlands find themselves bothered by BJ again and they see the GB commerical and call them in to get rid of him.

It would seem that any cross over between the two might just be in animated form.

Me too. At the time, I didn't know the Ghostbusters show was taken over by Twister. I thought it was behind the NY stage set that this show was performing at.  And I didn't see any other reference to Ghostbusters. I knew it couldn't be the show I was looking for since this show was outdoors. Dan Akyroyd was being interviewed and he mentioned that Universal had purchased the rights to produce a Ghostbusters game and he also said he would be doing motion capture and a voice over.

Then, he was interviewed on a radio station and the guy asked about GB3 and Dan started talking about and he said the movie was in the works and that it would be in CGI and Bill Murray would voice Venkman

I heard about GB3. Sounds like they're making the same move as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie. From what I read about that, the CGI version would be kinda like the 4th installment in a certain way. They didn't even mention Shredder from the teaser trailer. I'm kinda sad GB3 is gonna be in CGI, but I'll still watch it.

Actually I think "Twister: Ride It Out" replaced the laser light show. Universal just wanted to stick Ghostbusters somewhere in the park. That's just my guess.
