508 was amazing! i loved it. And I've liked every issue since 500. I was going to post a big reply as to why I'm so passionately for the Uncanny series as of late etc etc, but I'll leave it at that.

i'm just getting into graphic novles/ volumes what not. can some one tell me what a 100 bullets is about..(is it about mobsters/ gansters? i never heard of the series before.

I know were Petes coming from with watching an old man on a elevation, thats how I've felt with Xmen titles for the longest time. Same thing with Fables, only, Fables seems to be doing stuff Marvel does anyways.

X-Men has been brilliant (apart from Greg Hack Land) and Invincible Iron Man is simply stunning. Seriously you're crazy. Why don't you like him man?

I'm actually enjoying Invincible Iron Man, but that's really been the only Fraction-written book I've liked. When Brubaker ducked out of Immortal Iron Fist, I totally lost interest. As well, I'm a lifelong hardcore X-fan, and I've never been so disinterested in Uncanny as I have been during Fraction's run (though I hope this stuff with the Red Queen turns out good). I don't know, the guy just doesn't do it for me--for me, he's one of the biggest offenders of "writing for the trade".

Thats fair enough I guess. I've really enjoyed his run on Uncanny. And I really liked (although it wasn't him) a few years back when Warpath came back in and they went a bit space-y.

I did follow the X-titles while Grant Morrison was at the helm, and they were pretty cool then.  Otherwise I'm kinda easy about reading them.

While Fraction and Carey are good writers, they don't make the territory any more appealing to me in the way Morrison did.

I gave up on the X-franchise after Morrison, Casey, and Milligan left. I like Brubaker/Fraction but not enough for me to buy the issues or the trades.

just finished reading CASANOVA and I'm enjoying INVINCIBLE IRON MAN so I'm super interested to see Fraction finally coming into his own on UNCANNY XMEN.

To be honest I didn't really like the first 3 volumes of 100 bullets, but 4-12 are some of the best vertigo books I've ever read. Can't wait for the last volume.

As a comics reader, aside from exceptions like Iron Man and Secret Warriors it sucks monkey balls.
