House of Kolor Paint job for Kikker

I thought you couldn't spray clear through an airbrush?

Did you mix the ice pearl in with the clear? then just spray it on top of the sunset pearl ? or what?

@Mr513phill yeap I sprayed ice with clear, then clear over the ice. To be honest ,the ice pearl kills the sunset pearl. So I didn't like that.

@Mr513phill I eyeball the ice, you really don't need much ice at all, it may not look like it..but all the clear coat I used is probably like,2-4 plastic dixie cups worth of clear. Reason being that I don't need a crapload of clear is that I use a cheap House of Kolor airbrush. 10.00 airbrush, I use it for base,flakes/pearls and clear. It sorta doesn't waste much product at all. Coats I would probably say around 5-10.. Next time I spray something later on this month I'll keep count

Cheap airbrush I have. Most of my paintjobs I actually spray with an airbrush.Even the base and clear.

@joeydgraffix so you put some of that in the paint bottle(where you put airbrush paint in) and spray it right? cause im tryna do that when I airbrush

@Mr513phill Nope. I've tried using it..I just didn't get the hang of it. I just spray HOK clear coats. I'm no pro, I just do this for fun. So don't take my advice on this if its for a whole car or something lol.

@backyardbikes well its the HOK Sunset Pearl, but I sprayed ice pearl white and green over it so it looks a bit different.

it's too bad you didn't pay more attention to the clear coat. I can see the orange peal just from your shotty camera. If you did your color sanding right, I should be able to read the watt rating on those light bulbs that look like white blurs. ooooh well, maybe next time, right.........

@bennyleechop yeah I know..thats what I said in the description of the video that it wasn't wetsanded. It was after it dried and I didn't get to wetsand it yet.

@CUSTOMLIFR btw it doesnt have a silver leaf the base of a kandy tangerine orange streight from the house of colors is some what of a yellow . not exsacly sure what yellow , so its not a silver lear and , dude thats a lot of mirror flakes im wondering with that much flakes if the painters gun didnt fuck up. those flakes are way to big... my old 84 chevy is in the prosess of getting re sprayed with the kandy tangerine i did 10 years ago videos should be up in about two weeks when its finished

5000??? pshh if a quart of kandy tangerine cost's 100 bucks , and you could paint a whole chevy pick up long bed with two quarts plus the catylser which is 150. and clear is about 350 to paint it and an avrege painter would charge anywhere fromm 600 to 1000 to paint a kandy painted job if you bought all the material your self , which would bring it up to close to 2k. and with door jams and all it would be easly another 800. making it 2500 done right? wow your a rip off
