  • How do i get one of these and beautiful mountains in the background BTW

  • I WANT A HAWK!

  • Looks keen but worrys me being on the creance with so many objects to get tangled on around. (houses, signposts) I'd do it down the road it's self avoiding the risk of getting tangled up

  • What do you mean by Passage... Is it like when you finally get done with apprentenceship and the bird is yours? or is it a kind of red tail hawk?

  • i want to try this in the spring can't wait

  • @fordsforme1, are you signing up in Spring? Cause I think most states start allowing bird catching seasons start in the fall after most Birds of Prey molt.

  • @fordsforme1 you should check out some of my videos

  • I wanna start my apprenticeship soon hopefully, but the raptor, my dad is confused and wont believe me, is trained to come back to you because it it trained to come back to the GLOVE for food? right? it relies on u for most part?

  • Yes. These birds are hunting birds, if you give out free meat to these birds they will come. But these birds are very intelligent, after a while they will follow you very well if trained right.

  • Exactly. I have had a few birds since this one. I will be posting some new videos soon in High Definition. Stay tuned!!

  • It's been over a year & a half now.Are you still flying her or did you turn her loose at Haggard?

  • Wow dude, I really wish I would have hawk like that :(

  • nice job training that red tail. i am 16 and live in washington and work at a wildlife rehabilitation center and i am a part of the education team there and handle a red tail that was hit by a car and lost her wing she might not be able to fly but she has a great spirit.

  • im 15 and working on getting my falconers license :]

  • you have really great neighbors!! i'm having issues just putting a mews in my backyard

  • So could I just catch one and keep it?

  • no, you need a license from the federal government, pay a fee, and take a test. they will come twice a year to inspect your facilities. it is expensive hobby.

  • how much that bird cost? kool!

  • The raptor was most likely taken from the wild & then trained to hone it's hunting skills. But to put a price on being legally allowed to do falconry is easily 1500-2000 dollars for everything needed!

  • dude dont take that thing away from tis natural inviyourment! put it bake were you found it.

  • They are training the bird for hunting while its a juvenile(passage)then they are released.Learn a little about falconry here in the States before you comment!

  • If they put it back in his/her inviroment there's an 80% chance that he/she will die.Thats why we only trap juvenile birds to help the survival rate!

  • Right. If they DON'T trap the brid and train it, there's a 50-75% (depending on where you read it) chance that they will die before being 2 years old. In fact, the law here in Texas states that an apprentice Falconer's first bird MUST be trapped by the apprentice. It can't be bought.

  • Awesome, I would love to keep a bird of prey, but you need to have the dedicated time to look after it

  • Thats a cute one, my friend and her dad are falconers, they have 2 red tails, one american kestral, and a caracara
