So you take a house that breathes .35ACH tighten it to .15ACH, then pay to power a fan that brings you back to .35ACH? LOL IECC puts the added cost to run the fan@20$/year, added cost to seal 500-2000$, zero savings. Worst thing is, in new const. the IRC and IECC for 2012 decided that even though homes are already near .35ACH, they require the homes be tested to no more than that, than you must also add mechanical ventilation! Now homes will be draftier overall. Whole bunch of stupid out there.
