  • Well done, great fun fishing for Spanish Mackerel,

    Cheers Greg

  • Its all King Mackerel..No Spanish...Spanish has the spots

  • Down under in Australia we call them Spanish, same as your King,

    Cheers Greg

  • Take it easy on the the throttle....

  • Can help in setting the hooks, Spanish mackerel can be hard to hook sometimes,

    cheers Greg

  • 0:35 dont drop that road so much mate next time you'll lose your fish

  • Always keep your line tight, for sure!!

  • What lures are you using?

  • Xrap Magnums, Halco Laser pro's, but check out our all time favourite lures video, the best ones there for Mackerel,

    Cheers Greg

  • yaa lads.,, looks a great day,,

  • Always great to get out on the water and some nice Spanish mackerel,

    cheers Greg

  • those are king mack...great catches guys...

  • We Call them Spanish Mackerel in Australia, and I believe they are the same as your King Mackerel. Great fish and can get up to 40 Kilo's or more, but most commonly caught 10 - 20 Kilo's. We also get a few varieties of smaller mackerel which must be similar to your Spanish,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari actually they aren't the same but they're very similar there are a few small characteristics that are different...i live in florida and we have both here i caught 30 of them today...it was unbelievable

  • Sounds a top fishing session and 30 would be alot of fun, would love to get to Florida one day, sounds like some awesome fishing and great variety of fish,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari yeah it was the best spanish mackerel fishing that there has been in 10 years there were three people fishing including me and altogether we caught about 50 or 60 we usually only go a few times a year in spring and then wait till next year but it was nice

  • lt quit calling it spanish mac! they're not related in any way' king mackerel is most appropriate...!

  • In Australia we call them Spanish mackerel, which are the same as your King Mackerel, or they're pretty well identical,

    cheers Greg

  • why you poke the fish ??? you are not supposed to fishing if you are non-humane

  • We look after our catch, with Iki Jime, which kills them quickly and bleed them and Ice straight away as well, Good eating the Spanish mackerel,

    Cheers Greg

  • @Reefari then.it`s ok cuz ur intention is not bad.

  • where was this at boys?

  • This was out at three rocks, can be good at times for Spanish,

    Cheers Greg

  • Up those are not Spanish macks the kings macks I don't know where your fishing but in the U.S. Spanish macks are a lot smaller and have orange spots on them they do not get that big only king macks do

  • In Australia we call them Spanish Mackerel, Same as your King Mackerel, with ours getting up to 30 - 40 Kilograms,

    Cheers Greg

  • Best time to catch Spanish mackerel is June to October, but loners are around all year round. Had a top weekend just gone, caught 7 around the 10 kilo mark in 45 minutes trolling lures, awesome stuff, Video coming soon, Cheers Greg

  • Great spanos there mate. What gtimne of year you get em off mackay? what time of year was that vid taken? water looks great. great stuff thanks man.

  • thats a nice liitle gaff were did u get it?

  • Hi, most of your local tackle shops should have one, or be able to get one, Good for gaffing Reef fish, I prefer a bigger gaff for Spanish Mackerel, you're a bit to close to those razor sharp teeth. Plus you can reach them further out from the boat,

    Cheers Greg

  • those are king mackeral jack ass

  • Appropriate name, in Australia we call them Spanish Mackerel, and they are the same as your King Mackerel,

    cheers Greg
