Ricky at least slipped a few early but yeah you're right. After the straight right Floyd hits him with in this clip (best punch of the fight), Ricky was lucky to have a head left to move. I think the game plan was to have the head movement, and he exhibited plenty early, but forgot about it later on.
Anyways, his dad's a crappy trainer. Ricky has great hand speed, nearly the equal of Floyd's, but they focus too much on his short arms and make him be a bruiser when he should be a boxer.
