@martipin12 -- Yeah, you can get it directly from EastWest -- just Google "Fab Four Virtual Instrument". I used it extensively on the song I wrote and recorded for my one video on YouTube. It's an amazing software package.
@martipin12 It's a sample from a Lowry organ, which Lennon played on the original. My guess -- though I don't know for sure -- is that Ron McNeil (John) is using the Fab Four Virtual Instrument package from EastWest Software (which includes a sample of one of the only surviving Lowry organs in operation) as part of the MIDI instruments he uses.
@LeChaunce That's not a bad guess, but it's not correct unfortunately. The Fab Four virtual instrument software is really good, however Ron McNeil did all his own sound design for the group's keyboards.
@growlyman Thanks for the correction! I got to meet the guys when they played Western Illinois University a couple years ago and he mentioned he'd messed around with the FFVI before. Were you the sound guy for that show? If so, I'm the guy who gave you CDs to give to the guys.
no Beatle ever attended a Fab Four concert. however, members of the Fab Four did go to a real Paul McCartney book signing with their Fab Four t-shirts on. Ringo's priducer went ot a concert and said he was impressed at how real they were and sugessted Ringo go to a concert but Ringo said it'd be too wierd to see/ hear himself basically
I had read that Paul McCartney had gone to this particular gig.
He went on to say how strange it was to see Sgt Pepper being performed by guys who looked and sounded like the beatles did back in 67, He understood the admiration for the record because of how alive it looked and sounded even as a stage act , this is what Sgt Peppers Band was about, four guys playing from the heart and sharing there talents with the world.
Thanks John Paul George and Ringo, the world needed inspiration .........
I was living in England at the time and decided to do the Liverpool tourist thing and it was in the local paper, I guess Paul went in un-noticed as I gather he didn't want to take the attention away from the band on stage, Relax Malaka he isn't gonna come up to you straight out from a crowd and tell ya what he had for breakfast is he?
I would love to get a hold of this interview. I asked the rest of the band and they weren't aware of it either. What are the chances we can find this article?
When I first saw this I blinked so many times just staring at the screen. I was all, "Wow is this really a tribute band? That guy really sounds like John!" I could only tell that they were a tribute at the harmony but they were amazing!
Hands down they have to be the best tribute band ever. I'm just blown away by that guy who sings as John. Unfortunately I wasn't born in the Beatlemania era, but these guys make me feel that I was there. That's how amazing they are! :)
They take me back in the summer of 1967 -I was 12 at that time - and remaind me of that fantastic period.. I listened to the radio and it seems to me the same.. Only silence can describe what I feel.. Beppe from Florence, Italy
They are just like the BeaTles. The "Paul" dude is right handed, so he learned (self-taught) how to play bass lefty. Now that's dedication. They have watched every possible footage of all the BeaTles over & over to get their nuances down, and they did it.
You should see "Imagine" here and "A Day in the Life" (all the things the "John" dude does during that song is amazing) - (he does the G. Martin stuff that was never intended to be played live)!!, and he really becomes John during the shows!!
they look like the beatles..they have the right guitars.."Paul" is actually playing a lefty..the guy sounds like John..how did they find each other lol.
guys, you are soo great...!!!!!!!!!!! please come to my country, indonesia!!!
