  • Mate,

Have you ever had the opportunity to visit such a paradise. I come from Lisbon, yet the Old Portuguese traditions have remained. For this reason the people who live there are so wonderful. Unlike India where the people were enslaved and degraded remain bitter.

If you get the opportunity and the money visit Goa, it makes no sense to read about it books or on the Internet.

  • Hello, Joe

Is the music of Goa exclusively sung in konkani? I saw your posts, and all music in Portuguese is imported. There´s Remo´s "Maria Pita Che", but it´s from Daman........is there anything purely Goan sung in Portuguese?

    Emerson

  • Yes - Goan music is actually exclusively in konkani. Remo is a different story altogether. The Portuguese music comes in from the old days when the portuguese was ruling, so those songs are just being passed on, no Goan artist has come up with any song in portuguese. as far as i know, there is nothing Goan sung in portuguese.... Cheers.
