@epicdavid No, they are using MotionPlus's more accurate motion tracking to make Link's movements, mostly of the sword, nearly exactly the same as how you are moving the WiiMote. This will give a really great feel to Zelda Wii. They aren't trying to abuse it, like a lot of third - party games. They are actually trying to help gamers become Link, and have him move just as you're moving.

Yeah, totally agreed. The Wii's motion control is awesome, but it was a given that companies would try and use it WAY too much. I think Wii Sports resort and Wii Sports were really just a way to utilise the motion control properly. It's Shigeru Miyamoto heading it here, and he is the king of the video game industry, and he's part of Nintendo, also a great company. I'm not worried about the new Zelda,

I think he'll use the motion control like it should be - not heavily, but enough to actually make the experience better. I heard him saying in an interview that he really just wanted you to feel more like Link, and have that sword movement really fluent. So I'm thinking he's going to implement a system that uses the Wiimote purely for his sword, as it doesn't have a lot of practical use other than aiming for bows and arrows/bombs and slingshots.

it's just like the first wii sports. there are some games that require the use of the numchuck, and others that require you to disconnect the numchuck.

As Miyamoto stated some games are ment to be played with somebody in the same room. If the game had nothing but multi player then fine it should have online, but this is mainly a single player experience that can also be shared with other people.
