Socialized medicine doesn't work. Just look at Canada. Because of the government, it takes 2+ months for a woman to recieve treatment for breast cancer. They have to come to America to get treated!
Our health care system definitely needs overhauling, including the Rx Companies, Insurance Companies, and the "Big Business" doctor offices and hospitals.
Immigrating to the USA from Europe, in my mind, the universal healthcare is a single domestic issue that ought to be changed immediately. It is abnormal that out of almost all developed countries, the USA is the one without a comprehensive protection system. Being allowed to remain healthy is not a privilege--it is A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT, which 1/6 of Americans doesn't have. I can't comprehend why people would be against abortion and euthanasia and NOT support healthcare.(cont. in other post)
If society takes responsibility for deciding about both of these issues as conservatives would like them to be, than where is the actual action that is consistent with their beliefs? If the child is born, it must have healthcare. It is truly a late hour to do something about it, it IS a time for a change. People of this country are not facing a problem that was not encountered by other nations; the USA can use the experience of others and avoid many of their mistakes in setting up the system.

the American president,being the most powerful entity on earth, really changes the world and influence the lives of every person in every country. I'm sure some of your relatives or friends can benefit greatly from stem cell research and other previously banned bio research in their life time. Bush is making the world a chaotic mess while economies are plunging.I truely believe when Hillary becomes president, the whole world will become a better place.Everyone will be happier and more prosperous
There are a few issues I have in universal health care - how would we have quality health care? Isn't competition a main drive to improve healthcare? What about our economy? I am interested in seeing how Hillary's plan will work.
