I first met Cid as a child playing FF2 on SNES. He jumped out of an airship holding explosives to save us all. He had my respect from that moment on.

Course then later I found him laying in bed and smacked his ass with his wife's frying pan... to get a Spoon dagger I believe.

I'm sorry but Cid's theme is probably the best on the soundtrack. It's pure epic. It also has a touch of sadness in it and makes one think of Cid's failed dream of flying on the shuttle he built. Could you imagine Cid's theme on the bag pipes? Someone needs to make this happen!

Cid's theme, though simply great by itself, now gives me the same feeling of Arrival to Earth from the Transformers movie score, just this feeling of heroic awesomeness :)
