  • uhm you know we have them to they just need to be clicked instead of shaked ...

  • THANK YOU JAPAN FOR MAKING MECHANICAL PENCIL AND THE SHAKER! I OWE YOU PEOPLE A LOT!

    -My whole class.

  • I bought a Mitshubishi pen and it shattered like glass when i gripped it hard

  • @VicariousReality7 the spinning?

  • So I went to the airport and asked for the cheapest ticket to japan. The chick at the counter said office depot was right around the corner.

If they got all these pencils, they must be part of japan!

  • 発音が悪すぎます。そして自意識過剰です。自慢しない奥ゆかしさが日本人には求められます。

  • There is in OAHU at Sharakiyas or whatever (: And i have Hello Kitty

  • those rubbers are the ones they used in they're dildos..

  • Lol I didn't realize he was speaking english till the video almosted ended xD wow

  • Man, that is an old idea. I've seen those shake mechanical pencils over 30 years ago. I don't like them. I rather the one you have to click to advance.

  • do you use these to harpoon whales for "science" porpoises?

  • the pencils there are so pretty. bright colored and all.

The ones we have here are boring, plastic and .. well, just like any other pen.

  • Revolutionary!

  • I'll stick to my pentel 225. it's sleek, solid and I don't mind pushing a little button to advance the lead. I defeats ease of use part when you have to shake it like that.

  • @BrainCreep That isn't the point of this video though.

The point is "Who introduced the mechanical pencil" and that was Japan in 1915.

  • This made a very happy ending to my day!

  • Lol girls use the first one for sure

  • All that pencil needs is a twistable eraser and it will be perfect

  • It took 45 seconds in for me to realize that he was speaking english.

  • @MrZpurd

    haha. Me too man.

  • @MrZpurd took me 25 :D

  • he's english aint that bad it's just the accent though ...... ^_^

  • @ginginews AND YOU JUST SAID HE'S ENGLISH.

  • @trivuong i meant his english ain't bad!!!!

  • I have one but i didn't know that theres one you needed to shake @_@

  • if u arrr come to japang u only find mechanical pencil.

  • what is his Accent to good for you that you need to dislike it? uMADcuz uBAD? keep it up man. :D

  • Be done allready . in 1999 i have one of these lol

  • i didn't know he was speaking english til about 0:47

  • in japan ,,in japan,,check it out

  • No innovations are great :) I never said in innovations are cheating. We always take existing tech, and make it better. The Japanese are the best in the world for doing this, After all they copied the Chinese for centuries . If you can make something that makes a difference to peoples lives thats really fantastic. Well done kido

  • I just bought an Alpha gel/Ox-gel kuru toga "sharp pen." I love Japanese pens and pencils.

  • I clicked on this video because I thought they were gonna make it into a robot that folds your clothes or something cool like that

  • Innovations are meant for improvement: That's like saying the first cellphone should never have been improved beacuse that would be "cheating".

  • Japan hasn't invented a thing They just improve on existing tech, they get off other nations. Remember an invention is something that doesn't exist not something that exists and is made better. Thats an innovation.

  • @MrReaperDude you're an idiot

  • @MrReaperDude Don't hate, appreciate! ;D

  • In japan pencil buy you

  • @guido69x not before i rape your monkey mother and sister. you will get stabbed and then laughed at by me, and i wouldnt think twice about it. hahah

  • can i have it

  • HOW MUCH IS IT?

  • @zahadtube i think its about 10 dollars

  • Those fuckin stupid dumb monolingual guys dont know to speak another language besides english,so instead of learning another one ,they preffer to apoint mistakes to the other ones smater then them that have the good sense ofl learning how to speak dumb assish so they can understand :D

  • @guido69x jesus christ id like to punch you in the face.

  • @benzesty i dont believe in jesus neither santa ,but i probably would feel happy in shoot you and rape ur mom!

  • wow those grips were really squishy.. most grips arent really

  • I would be concerned that shaking the pencil will break the lead. Also it seems like it does not reliably move the lead out like other mechanical pencils. And, it does not control how far the lead comes out. Because it does not add a new feature or perform an existing function as well as existing products it fails to innovate.

  • this is hardly surprizing since the japanese were the ones who did invented the tengatango sex toys in the first place

so now all the men: REJOICE!!!

  • i have a pencil like that

  • Hey do you have Japanese pen?

I went to Japan and love the pen. I still have the pen I purchased in Japan. I always buy Japanese pen but never thought of buying pencil before.

  • great vid, i will now refer the mechanical pencil as sharp pen :)

  • make it do my homework :D

  • We got those her too :o.

  • that has already been invented

  • so all you do is shake it?

  • I didn't realise the シャー in シャーペン stand for Sharp the co. Always assumed that it means a really pointy pencil. =D

  • The Japs did invent the mechanical pencil but NOT this type.

the original by SHARP had a spiral drive.

you had to keep turning the eraser to push new lead out.

all the new versions are Collet-clutch type devices.

    NOT invented by Japs.

  • It would be like halarious if while your in the middle of a test and its pure quite and then you start to hear a bunch of shakin noises and everyone in the room seems to be vibrating! LOL! XD

  • ...I have tons of these I buy one everyday..

  • its funny how Japanese people are attracted to mushy stuff lol.

  • Oh, I've seen this before! On a japanese import site. Very cool.

  • I NEED ONE OF THOSE FOR MY WRITING!

  • im going to japan to get my new pencil

  • SEARCH "" WOKIEE GOES TO WALMART"" ITS HILARIOUS

  • they are shaking pencils nothing to fancy

  • @kolorizer65 lol

  • Wish all mechanical pencils have those squishy grips on them then writing wouldn't be hard on the hands. Also how much do they cost and do any of them come with long erasers like the clearpoint?

  • Comment removed

  • Oh shit, I didn't realise he was speaking English throughout the whole video....I thought it was Japanese.

  • @newrez try speaking chinese

  • no entiendo los japoneses teniendo tecnologia y una hermosa lengua y usan ingles para comunicarse al mundo en lugar de imponer respeto a su cultura.

  • my friend had this a school i asked him where he got it he said i he told me hed have to kill me

  • @fablehottie

OMG SHUT UP MAN....lol i hate kids that fucking believe all...SE IN GOOGLE IF JESUS IS STILL ALIVE!!!

  • Wow! Now I can write. Great invention!

  • I like how you guys created the compass and had paper money like England in you're past. You're entire continent has improved so much with robots, new foods and stuff like that.I'm just mad that you didn't make fourtune cokies

  • 言ってることぜんぜん分からない、日本語で説明して、字幕を付けた方がいいと思う

  • no doubt people of japan, china 'n other asian countries are exceptionally 'n highly intelligent people..! For new inventions of any kind I always look to Japan 'n China, no doubt the most inovative creations to come about we can always depend on this vibrant, beautiful & talented People! Thank you for sharing this video wish u much success!

  • Why are people so mean to other people for trying new things?

  • What's wrong with this video for it to have so many thumbs down? This video wasn't bad at all. Is it because he can't speak english like you or me? Well, he is trying to speak a language that he's learning and inviting you to go to Japan. He seems very hospitable and all of you douchebags are bashing on him for doing something good.

I want you to post your own video of you speaking Japanese and let the Japanese bash you for your terrible accident. Well, you'd have to know how first, hah!

  • ..wtf...really WTF!

  • here in america, those alpha gels cost a shit load, like 10 bucks per pencil so yea, cant wait to go to japan in a few weeks

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk I hope you have enough money for a hamburger it cost over 125 yen

  • @millywaffers it costs a lot for one pencil and if you had like 3 thats already like 30 dollars some people at my school have like 9 or 10

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk Alot of pencils costs 45 yen

  • @millywaffers not really most pencils are only a couple of dollars for a pack of a few

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk Well I geuss I got ripped off =C

  • @millywaffers yes you did, all pencil do the same exact thing, write so why do you need such a good one? except for those pencil trick ones, those are badass

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk I don't know wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I can't believe I got ripped off

  • @millywaffers how old are you? 5?

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk 28 going to medical school in Japan

  • @millywaffers cool, im only 13 but i wanna be involved in med in college, good luck in school

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk ^^ I'm a transfer student, so what do you think you're gonna take for med school .I'm hopefully gonna be a neuro surgeon, as long as I don't kill anyone =C

  • @millywaffers HA, SAME HERE

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk you would get a lovely bachelor's degree and a Doctor of Medicine degree on you're wall with a $155,400 to $401,700 with a bonus of 5,900 to 50,800 with a 50% of that

  • @millywaffers sweet but im doing it because i love bio science

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk It sound kinda scary though, I mean seriously if you were doing sergoury on the heart and you messed up it would be okay, but if it was on the brain you can make that person a vegatable =C

  • @millywaffers yeah so thats why i might change but i like the challenge of doing difficult things under stress

  • @mylvl200wizardpwnsjk That's good but you still have along way to go you're only 13 so you still can do anything you want, I have to live off my inheretence

  • @millywaffers true but even then its better than nothing, some students have to work, do their school work and take care of other errands at the same time while running on nothing but cup noodle and capri sun

  • Before criticizing his English, ask yourselves one question: Is your Japanese better?

  • lol MEKANIKAL PENSHIL bahahahah

  • The Japanese surpass the entire world when it comes to pen variations, cell phones, food and just about everything in my opinion :)

  • @LolGurrl91 mechanical pencils have been around for at least 50 years

  • for some reason i think its cool he cant speak good english

  • Japan can afford to spend 500 000 dollars on a new mechanical pencil design.

  • guys, give him a break. so what if his English speech isn't great. English probably isn't his first language. I'm sure his English is better than your Japanese! :O give him credit for trying. seriously. that's why i like this video. keep it up, Japanoramic :)

  • The mechanical pencil was probably manufacterd(sp) in japan. Im sure a million people had the idea..

  • wakaranai. kikinikui

  • it sounds like hes saying mechanical pencils were first invented in japan.

uhh,, no it was not made in japan. it was first introduced by the German. -_-

japs just have to claim everything is made from Japan. lol

  • fuck you nazi

  • @rainbowguy21

I'm afraid it wasn't even the Germans who made the first one. The first patent for a mechanical pencil was to a British guy in 1822 (Sampson Mordan).
