Agreed, soundtrack not a good idea - the racket they make is integral to the work.

Adding music = bad idea.

The sound of these machines working IS the original soundtrack and is an important part of the work.

I don't think adding your noise and uninformely ruining the work is a good idea (unless you made the soundtrack yourself and can call it a homage).
