most of the Pakistani squash legends descended from very poor back ground i appricate the hard work and dedication they showed in order to achieve titles, but I think Hashim Khan is the true lover of Squash who served back to squash court even at this age, unlike many Pakistani Squash heroes who used Squash court to improve their finincial status and never looked back and helped the next poor generation at all. well done great Hashim Khan................................
@maqboolism No doubt Hashim Khan made many contributions. All Pakistani squash giants of that era moved abroad. Only Roshan Khan stayed back in Pakistan. He was invited by the John F Kennedy to move the US but he declined. For much of his life (before the Jehangir era) Roshan Khan lived in poverty, earning a meager income as a marker at the Fleet Club in Karachi where he trained several generations. His hard work culminated with the construction of the Roshan-Jehangir Squash Complex in Karachi.
@maqboolism Roshan Khan was a constant presence in Pak squash for several decades. His direct involvement guided Pakistan through one of its best periods in squash history from the 70s to the 90s. Considering how little recognition he received in Pakistan for his contributions, it was a testament to his patriotism that he never left the country. He was a true father figure, guide, and mentor of Pakistan squash.
