I personally think it's because girls see women in magazines and want to look like those women when they get older. So they invision themselves with the type of surgery they want. There is so much pressure on young women today to AlWAYS look their best. And to me, that's not fair. But, that's just my opinion.
For some plastic surgeons, there is no money in saying no to these people. If they say no to these freaks- I mean women- then they'll have to settle for the medium sized hot tub...

However, to say that "plastic surgery should never have been invented" is kind of missing the point--it's always been designed to repair damaged skin & tissues. So, plastic surgery itself isn't the issue, it's why people are doing it and how much they are doing it that tend to be the real problems.

@dianadogan I think you're right about that. Is last nose surgery was a way long time ago. He made the dimple in his chin bigger, but I think that was with fillers. His face just changed a little with age. Some faces change far more dramatically and naturally than Michael's even. What ever was going on in the picture here was something necessary.
men do suffer from macular degeneration, lookin' from my perspective, it will be more then acceptable for men in my generation (when we pass the "ripe" age of 40) to have cosmetic surgery. i know that when i pass this age i don't wanna look splurged with a stomach and chicken legged, i will do the healthy thing and exercise but the face well that's not something i can do myself, i don't wanna end up the typical round faced with the camel's nose and cracked lips, i will spend $ if i need to :-)

Right from the FIRST operation on Michael's nose it would obvious there was a problem in stabilising the new height of the cartilage following narrowing. Press the tip of your nose & you'll know what cartilage I'm talking about. I'm certain his surgeon was keen to revise & fix this due to Michael's public profile, & no doubt numerous attempts were made, each failing & producing further 'scar contracture' of tissues at the nasal tip & tissue cell death. Michael deserved compassion, not ridicule.

So are you saying you would not regard yourself as a victim if your hairdresser left chemicals on too long & all your hair fell out? Or a badly designed razor gouged your flesh requiring stitches & leaving a scar? Or a dentist fit a crown on one of your upper incisors that was significantly shorter than the remainder of your teeth so you were left with 'missing tooth' effect? ALL FOR COSMETIC REASONS! IFa medical examiner determined this, it would NOT be by visual inspection. It would be by obtained medical records.
I find the figure excessive, but do bare in mind that stats have shown that 40% of operations by plastic surgeons are 'revision' procedures due to complications. It is a deplorable figure, which no other surgical specialty comes close to matching . Yet the surgeons somehow feel informed consent has been satisfied despite their failure to mention it or promote public awareness.

@dianadogan I think you're right about that. Is last nose surgery was a way long time ago. He made the dimple in his chin bigger, but I think that was with fillers. His face just changed a little with age. Some faces change far more dramatically and naturally than Michael's even. What ever was going on in the picture here was something necessary.

men do suffer from macular degeneration, lookin' from my perspective, it will be more then acceptable for men in my generation (when we pass the "ripe" age of 40) to have cosmetic surgery. i know that when i pass this age i don't wanna look splurged with a stomach and chicken legged, i will do the healthy thing and exercise but the face well that's not something i can do myself, i don't wanna end up the typical round faced with the camel's nose and cracked lips, i will spend $ if i need to :-)

Right from the FIRST operation on Michael's nose it would obvious there was a problem in stabilising the new height of the cartilage following narrowing. Press the tip of your nose & you'll know what cartilage I'm talking about. I'm certain his surgeon was keen to revise & fix this due to Michael's public profile, & no doubt numerous attempts were made, each failing & producing further 'scar contracture' of tissues at the nasal tip & tissue cell death. Michael deserved compassion, not ridicule.

He wasn't an alien, but yes he had changed himself almost beyond recognition. He definitely had some type of body/face issues. Now he no longer suffers with this or his addiction to drugs. He's now found peace with all his inner childhood/adulthood demons. R.I.P. MJ
