  • thanks

  • watch the vids with carl verheyn he shows how to set up the strat whammy and it almost always stays in tune even with heavy use

  • (total sarcasm)

  • you can still have distortion on it right? lol

  • That wouldn't happen to be a Tele behind you would it?

  • @Delta3Grenadier Yes! its my Nashville deluxe telecaster. check out my old alabama video or country guitar video. its my favorite guitar

  • I got that same guitar for christmas

  • @Jrod1rulz lol same here. Same design and everything. How do you like yours?

  • @TKmallet its amazing

  • Is this a good guitar?

  • was out of tune to begin with./...squires pretty much suck ass all around... lets see a dive bomb on a squire....yeah...

  • @WaveX28: try find a 60$, dive bomb worthy, ESP.....

  • @WaveX28 It is an beginners guitar , you expect an $1000 + worthy guitar for that price ? Come on now !

  • i dont know jack about guitars...but i dont think it should sound like that o.e

  • da,m! that guitar sounds good, man shit

  • All you need is new strings and a little bridge loosening.

  • My whammy bar is stiff. How do I make it work better?

  • @NostalgiaKid13 you have the bar screwed in so tight it stays in one spot. or possibly your bridge is locked down, because someone screwed it tight so you cant use the whammy

  • @ThankGodForCountry Do you know how to fix the that?

  • Was ur whammy bar stiff at first. Kuz mine is. How do I fix it?

  • Should have strum an E chord at the end to see how out of tune it was ^_^

  • @GuitarMasterGraeme well you should never really use the bar like I did in the video in a live performance or anything

  • @ThankGodForCountry Yeah, it's a shame really that guitar strings slip when you use the whammy. I like to play Vai stuff so I moved from one of these guitars to an Ibanez with a floating floyd rose tremolo system.

  • @GuitarMasterGraeme sometimes Squires can stay in tune like my HSS affinity strat its a beauty. even tho i have a 4x cab marshall stack it handles distortion very well

  • and if the pickups are stock

  • thanks for the video, the guitar sounds nice, I too am looking to buy this model, can I ask through what amp are you playing?

  • @struguri I'm using a fender champion 600, thanks :)

  • do you know if it can divebomb because i think im gonna buy one ? please respond

  • @scorpio10mj the bullet isnt really made for doing dive bombs, thats something you would need a floyd rose tremolo for, which is what floyd rose is made for

  • Yeah it sounds good

  • nice licks!!!

  • wow so i pull this up and i hear u play the first couple secunds and i say wow use some distortion ya pussy then i see ur name tht it has country in it im like oohhhh tht makes sense ima a dumass hahahahah

  • @hibernatingbedhead I'll leave the out of tune, heavy distortion, iron man covers to people like you :)

  • @ThankGodForCountry tht was pretty good i must admit hahahhahaha

  • how do i attach the whammy bar there is like a triangle plastic where i think it should go. thanks

  • my whammy bar doesnt go down all the way?

  • I was so curious about your whammy bar technique first time around that I didn't really listen to the solo itself . . . and now this is the second time around and I must say, very nice! Very Stevie Ray Vaughn . . .

  • Bloody well can take the bar! Ive read about strats not staying in tune after whammy use and was surprised mine stays in tune

  • any tips if the whammy bar is jammed?

  • Hey everyone, I'm new to this whammy bar business. Just curious, is there a certain guitar model/bridge system that offers the most possibilities for whammy bar tricks? On my strat, for example, I can only use the whammy bar when it's swung up and facing the strings, and I can only press it down. I've seen other vids where people leave their whammy bar out pointing back and they talk about pulling it up as well. What's up with that?

  • @kristinparkermusic floyd rose bridge designs are the best for heavy whammy action...got one one on my jackson and it works way better for real steep dives then my american strat could ever think of doing.

  • @RocktronGamer Cool, thanks. Do floyd rose bridges come with a particular type of guitar, or are they a custom add on kind of thing?

  • @kristinparkermusic They come on almost all Jackson electric guitars. Other brands its mostly a custom add on. I honestly do not like the floyd rose because it has to many parts on it that need adjusting when do a set up. In my opinion they are a pain.

  • Thanks, this video helped me a lot. I have a stratocaster too and so it helped me to see what the whammy bar action and placement looks like on this thing. Everything looked different on some other tutorials I watched where people where using different guitar and bridge systems, to the point where I thought mine was attached incorrectly. But I can make mine look/work like yours. And you seem to know what you're doing :) You sound great!

  • crap! man where did you order this stained type guitar im forced to get all black but that one looks good to for 99 bucks where did you get it

  • @TheGloryfighter1000 I got mine at guitar center. you can get it at guitar centers website too.

  • with a good amp and some distortion can i play metal on that guitar

  • @snake120696 Oh yes.....but the Strat Makes you earn your Sound

  • @1OCBR Curious what you mean by that, "The strat makes you earn your sound," . . . it's harder to play metal on a strat? How come? I don't play in a heavy metal style, but this is something I'm curious about . . .

  • @kristinparkermusic for me i find it harder because the neck is a lot more curved then say a jackson or my dean

the fingerboard is also i find not as tall or wide

so because of this i think people fin it harder..

well i thnik so anyways :p

  • @SuperEnj0i Hhm, interesting . . . thx for the info :)

  • @kristinparkermusic its a lot harder to get a metal tone out of stock squier pickups instead people who use EMG pick ups that practicly does the work for you

  • @1OCBR Ah, interesting . . . good to know, I need all the help I can get :)

  • @kristinparkermusic if you have any type of questions hit me up...ohhh yeah, and just for the record squiers are great guitars

  • @1OCBR Thanks for that . . . I saw one of your vids, and you are so young to play so well! Keep it up, kid!

  • ive just recieved the same guitar only with a humbucker pickup aswell for £110 at gears4music. but unfortuantely i am not allowed to play it until.....yes you guessed it christmas. but i have had a 15 minute jam on it and it sounds brilliant.

  • that was so graceful i want to walk down a park with this playin

  • I just got the exact same guitar (my first guitar) and when I screwed in the whammy bar I couldn't use it because it was stiff and locked in place. I read in a few places that you need to loosen the screws in the bridge or something, but I don't want to try it just yet in case I screw up the guitar. Do you think you could make a tutorial for how to do it properly?

  • @gamerandwatcher2000 force your whammy to work >=) just hammer it and it will work

  • @gamerandwatcher2000 Well, I'm just a newbie to this myself . . . but maybe don't screw in the thing so tight. Keep it loose enough so that it can easily swing over the nobs on your guitar and you can push the thing up and down. This guy's video helped me a lot. Notice that his is very "swingy" in the socket. Also, I'm seeing a lot of different whammy bars/bridge systems on the net. Not all look so "swingy" but this guy's does, and that's how mine has to look otherwise it will be too tight.

  • i just ordered this guitar it sounds pretty gd already would you recommend changing the pickups to another kind?

  • @BigStacks18 I wouldn't reccomend changing the pickups, I would leave it alone. if you want nicer pickups just buy a more expensive guitar, new pickups wont make a difference

  • @ThankGodForCountry lol, dude trust me, I have the HSS, i put 1 EMG 81 in there and two dimarzio's Trust me, it will make a terrific difference

  • @BigStacks18 don't change them...get a good amp..i have a frontman 10G and its awesome

  • @stiskavac get a friggin better amp! FAME T64 HALFSTACK! \m/. !!

  • @BigStacks18 If you have a specific type of pick-up in mind, then just replacing the pickups in your squier would be the cheapest way to get that sound. Changing the pickups would make a HUGE difference. If you just want a "better" sound and don't really know what that means exactly, then a better guitar would be a more noticeable difference. Also a better guitar would have better sustain and intonation

  • @Muze42 BUT changing the hardware and the pups would be cheaper than buying a more expensive guitar for about 400.

i gotta replace bridge soon, already have an EMG 81 and two DiMarzio's in it and it sounds like a charm

  • How does the trem feel? Worth keeping? I thought I might swap that out for another one, maybe the MIM standard. I ain't even got the Bullet yet, already modifying in my head. lol.

  • Very good play :)

  • i was just wondering are u playing random songs? cuz it kinda sound like john mayer ^_^

  • I'm from Croatia...and if you want to answer me,,is this a good guitar??

  • What is the difference between the Bullet and Affinity?

  • i have the same one...lol git it yesterday 4 gradu8on

  • is best guitar!!!

  • this is a squier bullet????'

    my english no is good

  • yes its a squier bullet. $99

  • @ThankGodForCountry is this guitar good for funk?

  • @MarioRulz58 yeah stick it on the bridge pickup, sounds good !

  • i ve got the squier but it dident come with a whammy bar how can i put one on

  • i had the same problem thing is that fender (or squier) won't tell you is that some bridges are not all the same. you need to go through some different size tremolo/whammy bars to see which one fits. go to guitar center to get some help.

  • i got a whammy bar but it keeps falling out? what is wrong? its the same guitar too! =(

  • Is there any way to make the whammy bar easier to press down? I just got out my old squire and the whammy is pretty tight. any ideas?

  • @Dirt8889 decrease the amount of springs you have in the back of the guitar.

lol sorry if you dont understand im not really awake right now =)

  • hey how do you put the whammy bar on i just got my guitar

  • the bar is threaded. it screws into the bridge

  • it only is already bulit in.

  • hey im a beginner and i just got that exact guitar today! do you think you can help me out?

  • sure, what do you need help with?

  • well to start, the tone. i dont know how to get the different tones that electric guitars can have, can you tell some of the basic ones and how to make them?

  • hey Jerry11606 just mess around with the knobs, there's nothing that could happen that'll break your guitar or anything and just experimenting with different settings will help you learn how to create different tones. Nice vid! i might pick up one of these 'cus i don't dig the sound of my OLP, it's too crunchy, too metal-like.

  • thanks! also is there anyway to lengthen the sustain?

  • i think if you use like a tube screamer or compressor you can lengthen the sustain.

  • in this video, I'm using both of those, tubescreamer and compressor, it helps, and just sounds goof
