  • rains one of my Favorited Dr who episodes along with planet of the daleks and caves of androzani and the deadly assassin

  • Truly a classic episode! Thanks a million for sharing it. Although I enjoyed watching all of the Doctors, Tom Baker reigns eternal as the BEST Doctor! XOXO

  • Exciting!

  • I'll have to watch this DW episode sometime. It looks great.

  • great editting

  • This was Terry Nations finest hour......the culmination of his lifes work. It remains arguably the best episode of any science fiction series. Even if the special effects were questionable at times, the script, plot and characterisations were untouchable.....and havent been bettered to this day.

  • sigh......what a classic! Back in the days when they could write scripts!

  • Ah yes, one of the very best stories ever, classic and new series both :~D

  • I just bought Genesis of the Daleks on ebay because of this !

  • Sigh this story had it all my fav daleks episode ever

  • Why do gas masks always look so creepy on Doctor Who?

  • This story was depressing in billions of ways, and not a story I like.

  • The slight echo effect at the end makes Davro's speech even creepier.

  • This is my favorite doctor who episode of all time!

  • what happened to the kaleds that didn't get mutated into dalek pilots?

  • @Arthus850 They died.

  • @Jasonthegaiface how did they die. did davros turn his daleks against them?

  • @Arthus850 Yes. He ordered the Daleks to exterminate them when they started to challenge him over what he was creating.

  • Did anyone notice that Skaro is something like earth if fashist won the war?

  • Whats the music?

  • And I'm asking for genesis of the daleks this Christmas aswell

  • One of my favourite dr who storys, and this trailer is brilliant, well done babelcolour. I had the music in my brain all day today aswell

  • very nice, caught the atmosphere perfect

  • 'I will go one' they must have been anticipating Margaret Thatcher again, ten years or so in advance. Very good, one of my all time favourites.

  • the best dalek story ever

  • Excellent trailer! I feel a need for a rewatch!

  • Nyder is a bit too much like Himmler. In fact Nazi is a shorthand for evil in this story, which makes it feel too derivative. Not to mention the rocket sub-plot going nowhere, and a crapload of padding to fit 6 episodes.

  • @darthbandon10 It's surely no more derivative than "Star Wars" in terms of the Nazi parallel - and that was a fantastic film. It is Davros and his mechanical master-race who make this story so disturbing. Even as a child, the Nazi connection was not lost on me. This tale is still a timely reminder of what could happen when megalomania meets science. And in the end, the mutant-machines take over and kill their creator. Would the SS have done that to Hitler? Food for thought!

  • why have some of your videos been deleted?

  • Babelcolor, who do you delete your videos?

  • eeekk. The music is way to cherpy from the scenes being played. Think DARKER my friend.

  • what happened to the talons of weng chiang trailer?

  • Daleks destroyed it...

  • I love this...a great way to do trails of the old series stories. Really like the remix of the theme towards the end...

  • great vid! but this isn't my favourite dalek story, the chase, remembrance and the dalek invasion of earth are probably my favourites.

  • What was your opinion of some of the new who episodes featuring the Daleks? Such as Dalek, Parting of the Ways, Doomsday and the Stolen Earth/Journey's End?

  • I like the new ones a lot but I'm not to keen on daleks in manhattan.

  • Another perfect video

  • Best episode ever!

  • Greatest Doctor Who story of all time. Bar-none. I recently bought it on DVD and I was completely blown away by how good it was. Michael Wisher was awesome as Davros.

One of the reasons why I loved Journey's End so much was because it touched on quite a bit of Genesis of the Daleks, such as Davros and Sarah Jane meeting one another again and recognising each other. Plus Julian Bleach was phenomenal with his portrayal.

  • tom baker was my favorite doctor out of the old ones. he was that good. but of the two new i like david tennant.

  • Just found out in the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine that the Actor who played the Timelord in Part One , John Franklyn-Robbins , sadly passed away on March 21st , aged 77 .

    R.I.P. John Franklyn-Robbins .

    Jason .

  • "we" lol!

  • DW as it's very best! An utter classic that the new series has yet to equal, let alone surpass.

  • I'm watching genesis of the daleks, and boy it deserves the title of classic! Now it's one of my favorite serials of all time!

  • fantastic trailer. got to be my best doctor who story ever. mind you, i personally think tom baker was the best doctor. 5 stars for sure

  • 100th comment! I've never wanted to see this episode as much as I do now after watching this.

  • That was awesome.

    Excellent work!

  • the ending of this is just chilling.

i hope u do one with Deadly Assasian.

  • awesome

  • very good trailer...

  • Great compilation from Doctor Who.

  • I loved this episode!

  • That was freakin' awesome.

    I loved that story!

  • What's next?

  • Thus began The Last Time War.

  • stupendous

  • Do i sence a new Effect at :44

  • No - no new effects on this trailer. It's all there on the original broadcast.

  • Yeah,i noticed that a while after i posted that comment when i watched the episode again.

  • Man I remembered how much I love this story lol.......one of the first serials I ever saw

  • you really should work for the bbc!! much better trailers than the official ones keep up the good work

  • I'd love to see a Brain of Morbius Tribute! I got it two days ago and I love it!

  • fantastic!, your trailers rule!

  • good job bablecolor

  • why does Davros never have his eyes open?

  • Because he don´t have eyes, he si blind.

  • His Eyes Were Sestroyed in a fight in one of the old episodes so the blue light on his head is his cybernetic eye

  • No, it wasn't, sorry :P

  • also good^^

  • i have had never seen this story before i would definatley be rushing out to buy the dvd of it after viewing this. it is so well done. u should work 4 the bbc

  • if you notice the doctor and davros have a conversation over would he realease a virus or not and in 'the dalek invasion of earth' the daleks use a virus to wipe out half our population and in a paul mcgann audio episode davros tells the doctor that he realeased it because of the doctor.ineresting that in the dalek timeline it goes:4th doc,1st doc,8th doc

  • Its a pity Davros never met a good plastic surgeon

  • i think all he needs is a surgeon hes got engouf plastic allready lol

  • good to hear i'm not the only one who likes colin

  • same here. i loved Terror of the Vervoids and The mYsterious Planet!

  • much love !

  • Oh, yes!

  • One of the most epic Doctor Who stories

  • There's a possability tha Davros might return in this season.

  • anyone-else's skin crawl when Davros speaks?

  • Excellent job mixing the tracks! That creepy "Schrödinger Effect" music really lends itself to counterpoint with our beloved, creepy Who music. :)

  • i miss davros, he was a nice guy.

  • Davros. I liked him as villain. I mean, he never did a nice thing in any of the episodes he was in, but Michael Wisher STILL gets fanmail from female Whovians wanting to bear his children...now THAT'S charisma...

  • i thought he was dead. he was excellent tho pity he never came back

  • everything after 'total extermination of the thals' makes me all tingly

  • Same!

  • what's the music from 00:43?

  • Could you make a trailer for The Deadly Assassin?

  • Woot, Davros :D

    More Davros! Less Daleks lol

  • Beautiful,

Really makes me remember how scary the daleks are. This video convinced me to buy Genesis once again, except this time on DVD.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for everyone's positive and supportive comments about these trailers. I really enjoyed making them :)

  • Words fail me! WOW!

  • Im not sure what you mean by sourse ? , if your refering to Daleks & I , it isint my website , it belongs to a nice chap called Steven Worman . However , it hasint offically been confirmed as yet , but taking a look at a Sci-Fi magazine in my local WH Smith , i cant remember what the magazine is called , it does say that there have been Tabloid mentions of Davros returning , so it isint just the Sun newspaper saying that .

  • Right, well in that case it hasn't been "officially confirmed" then has it? By source I mean where you got the information from, rather than just gossip.

  • i can officially confirm he hasnt got a clue what hes on about

  • Love this video , it sure is a great tribute to Genesis of the Daleks , ive seen this video including the Time War and Ressurection of the Daleks made by you on Daleks & I - A Davros and Daleks Appreciation site .

When Davros returns in series four next year which has been offically confirmed , you can do one of the story which Davros will appear in , i know it hasint been filmed yet , but i hope you do one based on the story he will return in after its been seen on tv .

  • Has it been officially confirmed? If so please link us to your source.

  • genius!

  • Actually Babel, I know have a question. Should this be seen as a Trailer telling people to get the DVD or a Music video of the DVD? =]

  • Great as ever Babel. Nice mixing. Thanks.

  • Good remix! How did you acquire the Doctor Who remix track, coz boy have I tried and failed to locate it!

  • Please can u tell us what remix of the Doctor Who theme this is? PLLLLZZZZZ?

  • The music is actually a mix of two tracks. The opening is 'The Schrodinger Effect, Opening Theme' by Tony Gallichan and the finalé is the 'Doctor Who - 7 Series remix' by Miguel F Ettema. I mix between the two half way through.

  • hmm, The Schrodinger Effect was just a test piece - not the finished version, just for the record, and was done to give an idea to the director of the dvd it was done for, an idea of a different style of opening titles - more filmic rather then the usual faux tv show time tunnel effect....

  • What happened to the Pyramids of Mars DVD Trailer

  • I decided to delete it. Being the very first trailer, it was a bit more basic and slower than the rest. I shall re-edit a pacier version and upload it shortly.

  • Oh Ok Thanx.

  • This is a brilliant trailer, but what is the doctor who music you've used? Is it your own creation or can you obtain it from somewhere?

  • i hope this never gets deleted its great

  • Fantastic tribute to one of the best Doctor Who story ever!

P.S. You should make a Remembrance of the Daleks tribute.

  • ok ive seen this story millions of times but if i was a new series fan and saw this advertised on tv i wud buy it for sure. this is great work

  • Sorry guys, the music is fine, I think thr rythm goes wonderfully well with the pace shown and the "Exterminate!" once in a while. As usual, Babelcolour did a great work!

  • Personally, I loved it. :)

  • Not bad, but let down by the music. Better music could have made it much more dynamic and atmospheric. Why is it that whenever anyone does a Doctor Who trailer they insist on using some version of the Doctor Who theme? Look at the best movie trailers; they rarely, if ever, use music from the actual movie they're promoting.

  • The faintest praise swamped by massive criticism. "Not Bad" does not sum up the video. It is absolutely superb. The editing and choice of clips is of the highest order and the new variation of the theme is absolutely perfect.

  • Sorry, the music sounds like cheesy corporate video stuff.

  • could you do the invasion

  • Brilliant stuff ANDRIOD INVASION or PLANET OF SPIDERS NEXT PLEASE

  • Thanks pellegrino, but neither of those stories are available on DVD!

  • Well put together; it's amazing how contemporary it looks (maybe it's the soundtrack)...it could quite easily be a 2007 episode.

  • That was done brilliantly you have reminded me why this is my favourite doctor who episode

  • Eek, Davros was so creepy, and seeing his first appearance here shows a testement how Micheal Wisher set the tone for his primary successor in Terry Malloy, who stills terrifies me today as the dreaded Kaled. Defintely one of TV's finest hours, not just Doctor Who itself.

  • could you do one of them for the invasion with patrick trouten

  • Yay! Daleks! w00t

  • Excellent. Very profesional. Up to the standard of the BBC's current Who trailers, in fact!

  • I prefred Terry Malloy's Davros! BEST EVER EPISODE! FEAB VIDEO! Where's the music from?

  • A work of art! Absolutely a work of art!

  • Spectacular!

  • This is a brilliant video babel, I really am very impressed.

  • That really makes me want to see Genesis of the Daleks again, well done, excellent work.

  • Wow! Fantastic work, as always! I find it amazing that you make these, 'cos they're better quality than quite a few of the stuff done by 'professionals.' Which brings up a question: Are you a professional? 'Cos if you aren't, you damn well could be! This is BRILLIANT!

  • For any newbie Dr Who fan who might think the series began with Christopher Eccleston - here's a series of tribute trailers for classic Doctor Who. I hope it tempts a few people to watch them.
