I've have a couple of friends that have seen orbs in Los Angeles. they are the size of a basketball, emit light, and move very fast. These orbs were seen below 1000 feet. One was about 5 am right before light next to an airport. the on other one was at 7;30 am. It was so obvious that it attracted 4 helicopters, but the news did not report on it.

How long have you been seeing these orbs? I live by area 51, but damn, I haven't had a reason to look skyward in a while. I do see air force jets flying super fast, really high, but I can tell they are jets (in the day), daytime sightings are amazing

Cool! Does your camera have a CCD chip in it?

I am using a 2 year old Sony Digital Handycam. Hope that info helps, I don't know about CCD chips.
