For some reason I can not use the fonts I have down loaded! They are there in my font folder, but not in my gimp fonts? I have tried to re load the gimp program, but no luck! Do you have any advise on how I can place them in my gimp fonts to use? I hope I am making sence?

I just installed 7 and was having the same problem in Vista. 7 eliminates the problem.

Instead of copying/pasting, you could use WinRar, "extract to" and have the windows-> fonts folder open.

Drag and drop it into the folder and DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING after that. It'll freeze for a few seconds and double clicking made it go haywire.

After you drag and drop it THE FILE DOES NOT APPEAR ALPHABATIZED. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the first set of standard fonts
