This ride is AMAZING! I didn't realize how fast 120 mph was until I was actually on the ride. The view from the top of the tower is awesome! Youtube doesn't do this ride justice. You have to experience it for yourself to understand just how amazing this ride really is.

Because I am extremely sensitive to acceleration, and when launching or going down large drops, I need to literally hug my lap bar and hold my head down between my legs (or as close as I can get to my legs). This seems to take away that "butterfly" sensation. On TTD, I can take away that sensation. But on KK, I am stuck sitting upright-making my stomach tingle.

HUGE ammounts of unecessary money go into this, just so you riders can have a ride. Same with Kingda Ka. The launches on these rides require TONS of maintenance, and are always failing. The parks regret ever having installed these rides. Thier only excuse is to having a record.

Oh yeah, and you get sprayed with lightweight grease at te end of the launch :|

The problem they're having is the hydraulic launch motor. Yeah, it works great brand new. But after years of wear and tear, and with them being incredibly expensive to replace, they have to constantly maintain it, and even with all of that it still doesn't always work 100%. And with the size and speed the thing needs to turn the drum at to pull the cables attatched to the launch car in the track, it's no wonder why it can't bring the speed up.

Also, you go up, then down, then stop. Yeah, fun.

right before they shot off, this kid had a complete meltdown, and had to go off the ride. The funny thing was, he was 10. I went on my first 200 ft drop and loop ride when i was 7. I went on front row everytime i went on top thrill dragster. beastly ride.

I wouldn't say best ride ever. It was the tallest when it first came out. I found the it thrilling for sure, but more of a gimmick to break a record which was later beaten. Millennium Force at the same park was better in my opinion.
