I just bought a 2012 ms3 and am loving it. The mzr is a beast. Gearing is a bit short and that is exacerbated by the fact the engine stops making power at 6k Rpms . This is no high revving Honda, it's a freaking torque monster. Loving it!
@fortressofcomfort i've got the same car! also i totally agree on the gearing and i'd like the power band to get a bit higher in the revs but great car nonetheless.
I had an awesome exhaust set up on my speed....cobb downpipe with second cat delete and ultimate racing cat back exhaust. I enjoyed it a lot til my front brakes broke
Almost bought one of these the other day. Test drove one and fell in love! But I just couldn't get rid of my Cobalt SS Turbocharged quite yet lol. Maybe in a year or two, but i do love these.
A good tune and a few small mods really does alot to wake that car up. This is the reason despite bing a Domestic guy that I will always have a soft spot for Subaru, Mazda and Nissan. They all have some awesome cars to offer with alot of potential. Nice run.!

MS3's need taller gearing.... 2010+ is a little tiny bit better geared but still too short for that torque curve...

Hey, 9900, what mods man?
The car sounds like it has a CP-E or GHL catback, so probably if you changed that you also have an intake, maybe an aftermarket TMIC + a tune.
