@Capta1nTaterS your right! deer also get diseased from over population, it isnt like 200 years ago when they had large areas to roam as with other animals, with expanding human population taking over areas conservation must be used accordingly with hunts (tags for buck and doe) to keep their population at a sustainable level.

And no, I don't love deer more than my own species, I just don't believe that we are superior to the point where we can abuse other species....... It is not about a human being having logic,people hunt for food purpose ,much like a snake would or any one of thosands preditory animals would,,as God planned each animal to support the life of another .,plants breath air and require nutrients, just like any other animal perhaps,humans should stop hunting plants as well.or not! humans eat what we choose ,just as the deer and other animals eat what they want to or what they can kill.Welcome to earth eat or be eaten thats how the world works,,,

You did make a valid point though -- humans do have to eat. Glad we got that out of the way. However, humans do not need to eat animal products to survive. Also, the way in which we normally obtain animal products is through factory methods. That is by far unnecessary.

Im a Native American Indian and I know my ansestors would not have survived winter if they did not hunt and I would not be here.You have a right to have your opinion but I think hunting is needed to keep the deer and turkey #s down or you would not be able to drive 1 mile without hitting a deer or something.

And yes, when time calls for it, it may be the only option. However, my argument doesn't address that. My argument is based solely on the fact that we DONT have to do that in this day and age with argiculture what it is; we produce a large surpluss of non-meat products..
And no, deer populations would not increase if hunting didn't exist.
