@ALLNAMESAREALLREADYT This seems more like a 4AD slideshow than a This Mortal Coil one. However, TMC had no consistant lineup and was more like an ethereal supergroup, so if Lisa Gerrard did make an appearance with them it wouldn't be surprising.
@ALLNAMESAREALLREADYT Yes that is true, but Brendan Perry (the other half of DCD) participated too!!! Like in the video 'Lonely is an eyesore' They performed 'Frontier'
For years and years this particular piece of music has filled me with a most seductive/uneasy/fascinating/sublime feeling and I don't fucking know why...
@awaitthegroom ?YES! how right you are! Urban, nocturnal, desolate setting!....and I think you hit the nail on the head by saying it has a strange detached feeling....thanks!
@09prizefighter09 they were never meant to be a touring band, Ivo who was the executive at 4ad records meant for the artist just to do interpretations of his favorite artist and those who influenced other 4ad performers.
can anyone remember the track before this that actually leads in to this song with that stringed instrument (the name of which I have once again shamefully forgotten)?
I have the vinyl LP and it was my fave track but I can't find it posted anywhere on here... Help!
What a beautiful melody this song has... This song brings me back memories of Brighton, UK, where I was first introduced to This Mortal Coil, Dead Can Dance and Coil's music by my ex-slovakian gilfriend and her slovakian friends. They just loved a lot these 3 bands and others alike! And so do I.
Fantastic..absolutely fantastic. A great track from the greatest album ever. Nice vid too - great to see all the artwork and all the faces - many of who'm I haven't a clue who they are.
Boy, am I glad someone finally uploaded this wonderful track. The title is actually kind of apt. The track makes me think about a sunset on a bittersweet day.
everybody was like a zillion times cooler looking in the early 80's than anyone you see on a video screen these days...
