  • lsx 454 motor retails around $12,000 - $14,000... badass car

  • how much and do you think i can swap this to my 2lt/rs 2011

  • My car would fall apart if i gave it one of these motors.

  • LSX.. more like XXX

  • That ignition system looks badass.

  • awesome!

  • that sounds f'n awesome!

  • How much did it cost u to buy and install? And did it drop right in the ls3 where it's crate us to be?

  • Now THAT'S a Camaro.

  • Can i order one like this at any dealership.

  • now that new camaro is worthy of being called a camaro. I love camaro's but the new camaro isnt retro enough for me and every new maro I see sounds like an econo car. Thats why this camaro is worthy of being called a camaro, it has the "chevy thunder" its suppose to have and the horses to back it up, Good stuff guys thats a camaro to be proud of :) now go smoke them ford, dodge and import guys.

  • Where's the specs, come on show the dyno run and have you thought about Turbocharging this beast? I'm not too fond of Superchargers, I love diesels and Camaro's but can't understand why only a few play with a turbo, oh and you don't need an intercooler to turbocharge a car. That's something ricers do cause they think it's cool, just go nab a GM4 Borg Warner off a 6.5L diesel and start tuning. I swear it will deliver more HP for less money than a supercharger. The intercooler helps cool is all.

  • @SSCamaroMan345 Hey I have Dodge Challenegr SRT 8 and I want to put a twin turbo kit in the Hemi. Is there any big changes I have to make to turbo charge my car?

  • @Ballzdeap89 Are you doin it yourself or taking it somewhere?

  • @SSCamaroMan345 The last person that tried to boost the LSX454 is now suing GM because they won't hnour the warranty.

  • @calbert1999 I don't believe in hear say so don't have much to say but the engine is only under warranty if NO outside modifications are done. They tried and most likely screwed up and want GM to cover it, add something to a new camaro and see how fast the warranty voids, do it with any new car and watch your head spin it voids so fast.

  • @SSCamaroMan345 not to mention it will never pass smog or an inspection again (not sure about other states CA for sure), only bootleg smogs from hear on out for this car and hope highway patrol doesn't pop the hood, totally worth it though.

  • @SSCamaroMan345 Intercoolers are used on turbo systems so they can run more timing. It's not as important in diesel, but in gas applications intake temps in the 300-400 range can make good power, but you can easily get another 5-10 degrees of timing if you cool those intake temps down into the 100s. 5-10 degrees of timing could mean another 50-100 HP on a high HP car but generally I do agree... it's not necessary for most turbo applications since they are lower HP.

  • what must i do in order to obtain this automobile ?

  • Much prefer a LS9 powered camaro anyday.

  • @m1klutch why? when you can get the opportunity to get practically the same power with one of these things naturally aspirated as you could with that tiny ls9 supercharged, why would you stray away from the lsX454?

  • is the lsx376 anygood? its just so much cheaper for people like me that dont have the money for the lsx454

  • i want one of them

  • That is awesome... Would love one of those in an HSV Coupe GTS... the camaro is just a bit flashy

  • I do love the LSx motors. Dont get me wrong. ITs in the wrong fucking car. lol!

    2JZ-GTE > LSx

  • i want one for my 86

  • CRAPMARO

  • @LightningMAS haha thats stupid but still funny

  • @FreakyKing2 .. you like it.. dont ya bring it with the supras .. ;) We wont spank it to much.

  • @LightningMAS yea it'll be crapping on ur mustang and it blows by it

  • @stratdude83 .. LOL.. re-read my answer retard.. fuck Rustangs .. slow pos too. I drive a Supra T72. import vs. domestic. Bring it fag.

  • @LightningMAS why even look at this video then? nobody that looks at this video wants to hear, see or talk about ur gay ass supra...LOL FUCKTARD TOOL...5 year old

  • Check out our ls7 454 2010 camaro we built last summer. 545rwhp on 93 octane all motor. Just search my screen name or Nitrous Pig Racing

  • i just jizzed my pants!

  • put a legginfelter LS7 supercharger on it 1000+ HP

  • question!!! what kind of intake , fuel system and coil packs are you using are they they factory ls3 stuff? and does all the sensors just bolt on to the lsx block?

  • Is that all cast iron, I believe the 6 bolt cylinder heads are cast iron only? Because the stock engine was an all aluminum design. Just not a fan of understeer

  • I'm not a chevy person, but damn that car is sick!

  • At 600+hp a difference of 13 is pretty trivial, id call the LS9 and LSX454 even. Besides, the added weight of the supercharger should equal it out anyways.

  • @Ratmouth66 ls9 is also a dry sump system because of high g cornering in the corvette so that adds to the weight as well

  • @Ratmouth66 but the ls9 is aluminum block, while the lsx is iron. i think the lsx might actually be heavier.

  • Comment removed

  • bringing muscle cars back one gerneration at a time :D

  • Beautiful.

  • 620hp and 600Tq ....at 3000rpm ...god help us all.

  • Now lets see that chassis try and manage that power around a track lol. I'm in love with american engines but american chassis', well that's another story

  • That's the car I want! I might want that same engine for it too! I'd like to see a video of it revving and accelerating at FULL THROTTLE!

  • cant wait to see the LSX454R

  • @SandMasta isnt that what motor this is? look on the intake ant 00:26 sec mark

  • @jfo420 no i think the LSX454R is coming out this year, its supposed to be chevy's most powerful crate making 750+ HP, the 454 makes something like 600 or 650

  • @SandMasta 13.5 :1 compression race gas only. The real deal!

  • Where did you get the coil relocation from, I am putting one of these into my Holden VE SS ute and am looking for a coil relocation bracket so I can use the rocker covers.

  • oi

i like the sound of this LSX engine then the stock LS9 engine they should of just ysed this 454 then th LS9 engine haha then it would be alot better

    the end

    :p

  • NICE

  • shouldnt thay have a door open when its started or thay wanna get killed lol

  • for the cost, you could of done alot better with some mods to the LS3...

  • Nothing like the sound of 454 cubic inches of normally aspirated whoop-ass!

  • @yellowscooter He He He agreed!!!

  • people you do know the the LS9 coast around 28,000 dollars? id say an LS7 build is the best way to make BIG power slap a couple turbos on there and laugh at ferrari's

  • anyone know the part # on them msd wires?im wanting to relocate my coils as well

  • im thinking about dropping the LSX in this 1970 chevelle ss im buying. it only costs 9k the engine and produces 620hp with titanium parts etc. if i supercharge it, this will be the fuel injected chevelle from hell. hands down the LSX is amazing.

  • Such a cool swap, what coil relocation kit did you use to move the coils up like that?

  • LSX 427>454

  • baaaaaah GAY you wanna see a real LSX454 Camaro come to Hennessey and see the TT 1000hp!!!!!

  • @ManyZanbuye how is this gay? i bet you drive a taurus or something faggot

  • Yo mah 98 supra turbo makin 1200 to the wheels would smoke this thing. Lmao jk i have no supra, great video...great car...killer powerplant. Thumbs up!

  • @bullshit54321, gmc's and chevys are the same, gmc doesnt make a muscle car tho. u madam are retarded.

  • i'm not real big on chevy, but i HIGHLY respect the lsx, such a awesome ALL MOTOR power house!

  • So you prefer gmc over chevy? Are ur serious there the same

  • omfg all i hear is ls1 up to 9's ill get a old school big block and rape u with ur new fucking enigines im sick and tired of hearing itew the ls series engine is the best fuck off all of u chevies good but i prefer ford doge gmc so up yours chevy

  • @bullshit54321 lol, stop telling us jokes. The LS series engines will rape anything u bring.

  • @bullshit54321 its awesome how you proved how little you know about anything with so few words. You could not push over 600 horsepower with pump gas in a daily driver, retain the luxury of vacuum powered Brakes, and still drive around half a day on a tank of fuel. The LS series simply makes more power stock, can make more power modified and is a much more efficient design. Gmc over Chevy? Thats like saying you prefer Texans over Americans.

  • @AbandonAllLogic so the ZR1 doesnt count as a daily driver? :'( lol

  • @rlmsvideos The LS9 engine is a LS3 supercharged at 638 HP and 604 lb-ft. However, the LSX 454 is naturally aspired and it develops 620HP and 590 lb-ft. The LS7 of the Corvette Z06 has 505 HP and 470 lb-ft bone stock too. Lastly, the LS3 had 424 HP and 418 lb-ft when it is naturally aspired. Now, take the times to choose which is the best ;)

  • @Vincy666 The ls9 is NOT a supercharged ls3. the ls9 has forged internals and different heads. just so you know.

  • @boxmonkeyracing that guy is stupid lol

maybe the same 6.2L size but not same engine

  • What's the POWER output of that engine?

  • Hey would a 454 lsx fit into a 4th gen trans am?

  • @Trans22Am itll bolt right up no problem, you can even reuse your stock pcm, you just have to get it retuned.

  • My big thing is comparing the LS9 at $23,000 and the LSX454 at $9300. Now i would use that saved money for a nasty cam, high flow heads, some Hooker headers, and a full X-pipe exhaust. So pay after all that you've got an easy 800hp or more motor on an N/A set up that still gets at least 23mpg for at least $7k less than the LS9, plus you can always throw the LS9 supercharger on the LSX454, which is now available from GMPP, who knows what insane number that would pull right? =P

  • GM is actually working on a overhead cam engine design for camaros and suv's. They need to get away from pushrods if they want to compete with Ford's latest offerings. I think that new 5.0 actually dynos at 435 bhp, upper 300's to the wheels.

  • @AJMD69 i heard about that werent they supposed to use the motor in the c7 vette 1st though? i memb hearing it was goin to be a 5.5 or something along those lines but hell idk anything for sure

  • Okay seriously? the LSX454 is 620hp, the LS9 is 638, when you're talking 600 horsepower, does TWELVE really make that big a difference? If you ask me the fact that one is NA and one is supercharged makes the big difference. This motor does all the same tricks the LS9 does without the supercharger, so in my book that makes it better. Plus, just swap cams on the LSX and wha-la, its pushing 680 horses. Its a better motor, I cant wait til GM starts dropping it in factory cars, Z/28 anyone? =D

  • @Ratmouth66 absolutley!!! listen I like turbo and superchargers, but the thing is, when you got an all motor such as this that produces damn near, if not more horsepower than a motor with a power adder,...the N/A is what gets the most respect!! thats basic logic......

  • @demariojason your right because they know that if the motor can produce that much power they know it will be even more powerful with procharger , turbo ,ect. than the other motor with additive

  • @demariojason haha, i definatly agree with that logic, put a 300hp V8 against a 180hp ricer, drop a turbo on the ricer to bump it to 300hp but then give the V8 the same amount of money as it took to buy the turbo and he'll drop a cam and heads on it and push it way beyond the turbo. Whichever starts with more will end with more.

  • @demariojason -- brilliantly worded response. I also love technology hp, and I agree that N/A is still the sweetspot. Compression braking from an N/A motor gives you both acceleration and braking control using just ONE PEDAL. Gas pedal density is also higher with N/A motors, since it usually takes high compression to get the truly BIG numbers. However, the only possible "downside" is that it's easier to spike the friction circle when you're hovering close to the cornering limit.

  • @demariojason i agree entirely, NA is more fun than forced-induction. just dont say that to anyone who races professionally. because respect doesn't come from having the best "style" of power. respect comes from winning. style, and gimmicks are for the car-show guys.

  • @demariojason i agree, but i could never say no to sticking twin turbos on this beast =D

  • @demariojason better throttle response too

  • @demariojason i could not agree more

  • @demariojason agreed. i respect the ls7 a hell of a lot more than the ls9. they just took the easy way out with the ls9.

  • @demariojason i have to agree. less parts to foul up, less computer tuning, its just an easier way to go and way cooler.

  • @demariojason Pure ignorance

  • @MmeDesgranges its that why my comment is one of the highest rated? I think it would be honest & more realistic to say that your comment is pure bullshit! Mine is PURE OPINION!! Its just like weight training. Person A uses enhancements oppose to person B who's a country boy that can push them 300lbs off his chest in the very same fashion!! maybe even more give or take. So you are going to tell me that in this same parallel concept, its ignorant to respect person B?? Thats pure ignorance?? WTF?

  • @demariojason You're just not smart enough to understand forced induction.

  • @MmeDesgranges oh! okay,............. :-I

  • an this is what the car shuld cum stock w no scrath that it should come w the lsx 376 block so you can just slap like 20 psi of boost w nada else lol

  • ford gm and Chrysler need to bring back big blocks

  • @cobraopts7 I would agree, i love big blocks, but there's honestly no point, these LS blocks are tested up to 2000hp and they get great gas mileage, there'd really be no point in it, but at least they still make big blocks for us fans =)

  • @Ratmouth66 ford actually has a model of mustang with a 427 big block in production

  • @cobraopts7 What's that?

  • @Ratmouth66 its a mustang upgraded by rouchse but ford dealers sell them there just harder to find and boy they haul ass

  • @cobraopts7 Oh are you talking about the Roush 427Rs? They're awsome yeah but they're not big blocks, they're the stock GT motor rebuilt and supercharged. They do haul though and i love the body kits they put on them, sound mean as hell too haha

  • @Ratmouth66 yeah they use the 4.6

  • Big block power baby, YEAH

  • Sick....

  • damn that engine is so damn sexy!!!!!

  • should put 454 emblem under the side camaro emblem :o)

  • That would be kick ass.

  • but still, it is a beast, thanx alot for the information and thank you for posting the video

    5 stars on that baby

  • It is NOT more powerful then the LS9.

  • how not?!??!??? the ls9 makes like what 638, this on Gm's site makes 620hp shit the way you set it up looks like it would have 650+

  • so why don't u drop an LS9 on it if u search for a power i think if u guys try to spray a shot of nitours it will be a big street killer but i like the idea of first LSX 454 camaro in the world wish u all the luck and am waiting for the new videos

sorry for my weak English ;D

  • @rlmsvideos its also NOT supercharged, as is the LS9.

  • @rlmsvideos i thinks its the same N/A

  • @rlmsvideos but it could handle more hp than the LS9

  • @Modified20062 supposedly 2500hp but idk how you can get it up there

  • @rlmsvideos yes it is the the ls9 is a bored and stroked ls3 and puts down only 18 more horse than the lsx 454 and it has a super charger. the lsx is n/a and puts out 620hp and is only 80 pounds heaver. the ls9 is not even over 400ci and the lsx 454ci its a much more powerful engine. not to mention the block is capable of holding 2500+hp because the block is cast iron.

  • @fatdan172501 ls9 is not a bored and stroked ls3. lol

  • @inteligentvtec correction it is a ls3 block. and the stroke is different.

  • @fatdan172501 close but not quite. the ls3 and ls9 have the same dimesnions. both are 103.25 x 92. but the ls9 being boosted has piston squirters and is strengthened in the bottom end, but is very simular to the ls3. but ofcourse the ls7 is the best of them all!

  • @inteligentvtec it is a ls3 block but as you said some improvements have been made the only reason they went with it is because the cylinder walls are thicker than the ls7. but lsx 454 is king then ls7 for me lol. n/a power rules lol.

  • @rlmsvideos what gears are u gonna put on this one

the red and ready truck has the 410's with eaton locker

the truck has a 441 motor

btw. i can see in the vid that there are more cars wat do the other cars have

lol i bet they are expensive toys

  • @rlmsvideos actually its way more powerful than the LS9

  • @rlmsvideos ONLY B/C THE LS9 IS SUPERCHARGED

  • @rlmsvideos lol, its not technically an engine, the lsx is a block. and people have gotten it wayyyyyy higher than the ls9

  • @rlmsvideos What does your LS9 produce???

  • @rlmsvideos but it has more potential

  • @rlmsvideos are you f**king retarded?

the lsx is a ls9, learn your engines dumbass.

  • @daltonwebb10

are YOU fucking retarded? The LSX is NOT an LS9. The LS9 is an LSx based motor. The LSX is not a production car block. Make sure you know what you're talking about before sounding like a fool.

  • @daltonwebb10 LSX = NOT LS9, LSX is not a production block, I believe the LSX black starts off as a 370 or something and most people bore them out.

  • @rlmsvideos is it the same block? Because I thought the CTS-V was supposed to carry an LSX but with a different name. Haha, I'm probably wayyyy off lol.

  • @rlmsvideos Its also N/A.

  • @rlmsvideos their almost equal...look up the numbers

  • @rlmsvideos I would still rather a 454 lsx over a ls9 any day.

  • i heard the LSX 454 is more powerful than the ls9, is it true ?

  • not off the bat.. but i think it has more potential

  • what kw?? i want one for my car.

  • stock GM 90mm TB

  • what throttle body is that??
