Best possible scenario, Iverson is picked up by the Cleveland cavaliers. The big three would be James, Shaq, and Iverson, a pretty damn good trio if you ask me. Iverson wants a ring and so does Lebron, and Shaq (not as badly). Iverson is still a good penetrator and scorer, better than the rest of Lebron's team.

a.i. took a lot of hits over his career. however, his back isn't hurting, that's just pride fucking with him. his individual accomplishments are quite meaningless at this point in his career. if coming off the bench is such a mind boggling task for him, i seriously doubt he'll "keep it that real" to accept the veteran's minimum next season, on whatever team.

It's highly unlikely he'll get a ring or an MVP of any sort. The only way he gets a ring is if he joins a well-established team like the Lakers, Celtics, Magic, Cavs, Spurs, etc. and is a sixth man.

If he can't be effective off the bench for 20 minutes, how can he be more effective with 40? He should be able to score half the points with 20 than he does with 40 and still be effective. Plenty of players are effective off of the bench. 6 MAN and Role Players come off the bench all the time and are just as important as the starters, if not moreso. They are game changers. If Allen Iverson is still a game changer like we think, he should be able to do it off the bench as well.

I guess I get your point, but I still think a player who is effective 40 minutes can be effective playing 20 minutes. Obviously it would just be half the productivity. And perhaps that's all the team would need from him. He's got to understand he's declining in value, so if he wants to play for a ring, he's going to have to be a bench/sixth man on a great team. Or if he just wants to play with no goal, a starter on a crappy team.
