It's good to see someone acknowledge the innate different between eithnic groups. Something that really boggles my mind is why are Jews always portrayed as victims who are physically weak, scared and incapable of fighting in movies? It's good to see someone acknowledge the innate different between eithnic groups. It's a shame that a lot of it is being lost through globalization and mixing of ethnicities though, especially in caucasian ethnicities. That diversity took thousands of years to develope and it seems most people don't have a problem with destroying it in a few generations.

Something that really boggles my mind is why are Jews always portrayed as victims who are physically weak, scared and incapable of fighting in movies? For example, in the film Defiance when the Jewish militia asks the Russian general to let them join his army, the general says "but Jews don't fight" and the jew says "these jews do". What you saying is explained through gene distributions- 'moral spiritual luminary' in this case translates to higher test/ IQ scores. Also its important to state clearly that these are -averages- from which individuals can sometimes diverge from remarkably.

The academics have taken innate human intelligence with all its complicated development and workings within the mind-brain and reduced it to its lowest form with a few meaningless digits. That the infinite complexity of human thought can be reduced to this shows the simple minds of those that have created such a system; they appear to contradict themselves in their supposed high IQ with such limited vision of human intelligence. Whom does this social notion serve in the end?

Do you have evidence, statistics? Can you measure luminosity? I would accept it if I saw the evidence and knew the causation behind it. Also, if it is so, in what way are "gentiles" or whatever derogatory term being neglected?
We all have brains right? We all have DNA right? If you swopped a Jewish baby for a "gentile" baby and raised it and 100 gentile babies while the rest raised by gentiles does your baseline change?
If so then it is the way its raised or education, if not its DNA.

Actually there have been studies with twins which prove that intelligence is 80% genetic and the rest is due to training of the brain, nutrition and health factors (infections for example).
Also there have been case studies of blacks who were raised in white families and white children raised in black families and the IQ difference remained the same. Intelligence is genetic.

Kuner1, because yours is a rare reasonable response; I am happy to respond.
I believe all intelligence is at base moral intelligence and not cognitive ability as it is understood in the Western world. We see that even people with very high IQs begin to make incredibly stupid mistakes and decisions if they dedicate their minds to immoral purposes.

Jewish learning has never been abstracted from moral considerations as it was in the Greek tradition.
We never learned math per se, biology per se, astronomy per se...etc. Any learning we undertook was to the purpose of discovering how God expresses His love for the creation and to the purpose of knowing how to do the same.

DNA is uncannily like Hebrew grammar. The intelligence we inherit is the merits and demerits of our progenitors, which is passed to our offspring.
That is not a destiny written in stone. Free choice is *always* operative and we can always rise above or fall below the moral level of our progenitors based on each of the choices we make.
It is also true that very high Souls are sometimes born into minds that are handicapped but that is a deep discussion and not for now.

Two short points:
- all evidence indicates that both cognitive (rational and abstract) intelligence as well as basic "emotional" character traits are genetic, however...
- as you said, our character and destiny is not written in stone. Theoretically everyone is able to make a free choice and determine their own destiny, although few have the strength to makes choices which go against their genetic disposition

Yes, there is a such thing as genetic drag upon one's ability to do good if one's ancestors were evil, just as there is more of a desire to do good if one's ancestors were good.
That is what I've been trying to say: The good of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov was so great that it was passed on to all of their progeny.
That means we are born with a leg up, not a guarantee that we will be good.

That is certainly a way of looking at it. Of course agresson hormone levels are also genetic. That's why some people are born violent. A friend of mine works in a Kindergarten in Germany and she told me that for example muslim children as young as 3 show violent reactions in situations where others just cry.
Btw about what you said abut dancers and musicians: The best musicians are without a doubt white: Mozart, Beethoven, etc. And the best dancers would be ballet dancers
