I'll put it simply: He said that Head Start is unconstitutional but it is not something that the President needs to be concerned with. He says we need to look at the bigger issues, and once those are fixed than the nit-picky stuff may be handled, or if done correctly the issue wouldn't even exist anymore because taking care of the higher up problems will have corrected the lower end problems

Even me, a left wing liberal, have respect for Ron Paul because he is a smart consistent version of a conservative. If you want a small government, conservatives, you should have a small government in every aspect including drug legalization and policing the world. Not a single other GOP candidate besides Ron Paul stands for a true small government. Libertarians also don't cower in fear because they agree with liberals on some things and aren't nearly as closed minded as conservatives.

Democracy doesn't work on large scales and the founders knew that, that's why each state was set up as a sovereign entity with a weak federal government whose main purpose was to unify them. Politicians have changed that over the years by bastardizing the necessary and proper clause, but we can't keep going like this. Have you noticed that the more power we give to the federal government, the more freedoms we lose? We become less like a democracy.
