my grand father Ben Lupu he join the Canada army in Tronto 1939 week after the brok out of WWII he was ship out just before christmas 1939 and came home when it was all over 1945, he work his way up thoght Italy up to Afraca on loan to britsh 8th army medical core 2 years, he was a medic and a combat soldier fighting Rommel the desert fox , he was mad becose he never received The Africa Star becose he was Canadian not British.No sacrifice to great He die of cancer and alcoholism at the age of 57

Exactly, here's an example: The "liberation of Rome. The Canadian and Australian armies did most of the job, liberating the whole Italian South and a part of the North, yet, the US send their soldiers to Rome one week before the liberation and claim to have liberated Italy...

Im an Aussie so i dont say this because i want to take something away from us, but we didnt fight in italy it was the kiwis. after north africa greece and crete we went back home for the japs. but i 100 % agree with what your saying about the yanks claiming all the victories in world wars. somehow they claim ww1 glory even though they got there in 1918!!! but i fought with the yanks in afghanistan and thought they where good blokes. whatever the war canada aussies and kiwis always hold firm!

Yes there were some True believers in the Nazi Party that Fought for the Führer, but they still died for their commrades and they are hero's. Did they fight for an honorable cause, well from their point of view yes. Some Commited acts of human depravity and I think that evens out their acts of heroism
