It is sad that he committed suicide... but he probably did it out of desperation of not wanting to be caught, go to jail, etc. I'm not saying those are great reasons to off yourself, but when you are in a situation like his, it is very difficult to be completely rational. The "well, he shouldn't have done whatever it was to get there." argument = invalid
