@MrSimmonds699 Hey, hey, hey now...Andrew Maxwell has some wicked skill, Dermot Whelan is quite simply awesome and Ed Byrne is pretty damn funny at times.
@willkillyoulast True, he wouldn't be my favourite, especially after the Down's Syndrome and Maddie McCann digs... but Dara O' Briain is a truly brilliant comedian... and don't forget 'Father Ted'! :D
@bubblegumxpopper Haha :-D I surprisingly like Father Ted...it's only surprising because other Irish shows like Mrs Brown or any Katherine Lynch show do my head in. They're just not funny...t's people swearing profusely, there's nothing to it. Father Ted had a lot of swearing and 'in' jokes, but it's was also pretty funny, for an Irish show (well, British, but based in Ireland). And Dara O'Briain is to Irish comedy what Saoirse Ronan is to Irish acting talent.
@willkillyoulast 'Father Ted' is genius! See, Ireland has a great array of comedy, but unfortunately, we've been painted the image of drunken, swearing people who love mass and farming. So that idea of us has been played repeatedly, overdone... but I do think Ireland has some great comedy, no, Neil Delamere isn't the best, but he's okay, and we have some truly great comedians :)
@bubblegumxpopper We have some great comedians :-D I think Neil was funnier in The Panel...when he presents The Republic of Telly, I just find him a bit less likeable for some reason. He's still funny, but there's something almost self-glorifying about his manner now. But the likes of O'Briain and Maxwell make it worth it...and Dylan Moran. And Dermot is as likeable as ever. Still, I will never like Mrs Brown of Katherine Lynch.
@willkillyoulast Yeah, Republic of Telly is much better with Dermot... Although, the Rubberbandits have lost their original appeal to me... I liked them better before they became so incredibly well known... I like Neil Delamere's DVD, 'Creme Delamere', had me in stitches laughing the whole way through... Mrs Brown isn't too bad... But I refuse to watch Katherine Lynch! I don't get the appeal!
@bubblegumxpopper Rubberbandits are...well, I don't really like them. No clue why, really, but I'm more into rock/indie music anyway. I haven't seen 'Creme Delamere', but I saw his one before that...waht's it called? I dorget, but his DVDs are funny like his 'The Panel' self...he seems much more comfortable with that setting, somehow. And thank God someone agrees about Katherine Lynch, she's saying what we all think, but she's spewing swear words and making faces as though it makes it funnier...
@willkillyoulast I honestly preferred their old stuff, before all the props and crowd-pleasing stuff! Yeah I'm into punk/rock, so Rubberbandits would be one of the few allowances I'd make, mainly because I used to find them amusing, not so much anymore... I strongly recommend 'Creme Delamere', it's really good! ... Ah Katherine Lynch is irritating... Not my kind of comedy at all... I prefer stand up, not props to be honest.
@bubblegumxpopper Yeah, straight-out stand up tends to be a lot more fun...props just suggest that they can't think of enough material to keep their crowd happy for an hour or two, so they get some 'back-up'...I'll see if I can get 'Creme Delamere' then, or if it's on Youtube. And I don't know how she still gets work on TV...ugh...
not so much in tis routine but got his dvd lst year nd on the panel aswell, he milks d whole "i'm from ireland, isn't it mad?" routine, nd rants on bout offaly too much!

@bubblegumxpopper Well, Tommy tends to get carried away sometimes and ends up insulting entire continents, but for the most part he's pretty phone.
