@mrblack61 I'm a sociology student, not business and I really hate business. ;-) However, I will look those things up. I can tell you that the fiscal and monetary policies have gotten better since the 1800's. I checked and my country is in recession/depression much less than before. We're really doing better but boom and bust is just a capitalism thing. I think government should restrict economic bubbles more by taxing/regulating more during these boom times and then spend it during bust years.

Its a subject that gets too little press here in the UK. It affects everyone in all sorts of ways yet its misunderstood by almost all.

I can tell you that the fiscal and monetary policies have gotten better since the 1800's. I checked and my country is in recession/depression much less than before. We're really doing better but boom and bust is just a capitalism thing. I think government should restrict economic bubbles more by taxing/regulating more during these boom times and then spend it during bust years.

I've been watching those but only the ones related to my degree. I'd like to begin learning about national fiscal and monetary policy. In the US, we have a lot of the anti-Federal Research crazies and I'd like to understand a bit more. the Fed did make some mistakes but I don't see them as some conspiracy group. ;-)

It suggests that a Bank may be wise to create for the purpose of global foreign exchange a tthe level of the UN, not for invalidating nations' sovereignty and replacing their own banking systems.
