  • Ha ha, yes, based on Naudo's version. I have been able to simplify ten or so Naudo songs that us mortals can have a go at...but wow, the depth and complexity when he plays it sure doesn't seem human! :)

    JAW

  • @jawmunji haha yeah :) by the way, if you ever find the time, please consider transcribing his arrangement of fragile, it's by far my favorite of his arrangements :)

  • naudo version yes? i never thought it could be simplified enough to allow humans to play it :)

  • that's amazing!

  • you must to tune your guitar xD

  • Great ! The sound is good enough to hear your talent.

Just a little mistake in the chords of the last theme. But it is certainely hard to reproduce on guitar what is played on keyboard.

Congratulation ! And keep on playing Supertramp, I love this band !

  • if you wanna lure chicks by playing the guitar on the bottom of the stairs, PLAY THIS SONG

  • holy shit,you're a master!

  • Jaw, you sir are a gentleman and a scholar. I really appreciate your videos and tabs. I've learned Canon, Here Comes The Sun, and Brain damage so far. Next up is The Logical Song and California dreaming. I throw you a few bucks via PayPal, hopefully you make some decent money from ads on your site. Thanks again :)

  • @sublimehypocrisy Thanks SH, glad I could help out with the sharing. Don't feel obligued to throw any bucks, it's good to just have feedback. It's starting to look however (I've been talking to license agents) that I can't go on this way, the ads won't cover the cost of becoming totally legit. I'm pretty sure however I could cover the cost of royalty payments with a modest fee for video lessons with tab...I'll be talking about it on my blog sometime soon.

    Thanks,

    JAW

  • i had a dream last night...and it was pretty much this! good job

  • @Aldren88 Ha ha, scary! :)

    JAW

  • Good Job, guy. \º/ yeahhh. It's well arranged but take it easy with your acoustic guitar, man, you play it very strong. [Excuse me for my bad English]

  • @has123456 I know what you mean, I dig in pretty hard for an nylon - was still getting used to it I reckon when I played this after playing steel for a long while. I should upload a new video of it, I play it with a lot more feeling these days! :)

    JAW

  • yeah, nice you got the talent, the guitar is vibrating

  • JAW, I would just like to say thank you for all the wonderful videos and tabs that you make available for us viewers. This is one of my very favorite songs, and everytime I listen to the intro, I experience pure euphoria. I am fifteen, have been playing guitar for one and a half years, and just recently discovered your treasuretrove of a channel. I have learned "Here Comes The Sun" from you, and I'm in the process of learning others. Thank you for your amazing help JAW, I really appreciate it.

  • @MeowSaidThe1337Panda Glad to help out! Good choice in learning Here comes the sun first.

I botched playing this piece, rushed it, let the tempo run away from me. Slow it right down, and enjoy it. I still love to play this one, especially the outtro, it's so groovy!

    JAW

  • Thanks!!!!

  • Brilliant - love it. Not quite like Naudo's version, but close. Still, Naudo's a master, so unfair to compare...

  • YEAAAA JAWMUUNJI!!!!! this song is so awesome and i just found out about it like a week ago!

  • @Btbam1989 Ha, glad you like it, give it a shot! :)

    JAW

  • what do you mean by tab being raw? wont it sound right?

    JAW

  • @jawmunji okay thankyou very much :) I willl try

  • VERY VERY VERYYYYYYYYY GOOOOOOOD¡¡¡¡¡ indeed

  • @juanignaciomoreno Ha, but Juan, you hear this done by The Master himself, probably on a regular basis! Grab the tab for it off my website, and learn it, and play it to him, and see what he thinks :)

    JAW

  • thank you for your tabs!

    Love this one very much.

  • can u plz give me the chords?

  • Very Good!

  • very cool indeed. great job. classical guitar is a mini-orchastra. (one thing though- during the ending progression, try an Eminor & Eminor7. (instead of maj7) . (nitpicking I know :) Impressive nonetheless.

  • that's so smooth, cool as 10 (or 5 *'s anyway!!)

  • 5* as always, great

    from downunder

    Steve in the UK

  • Very good!

  • Respect

  • niice

  • good times are coming back.

    super.

  • Excellent stuff - well done! I can relate to your comment about playing too fast when the camera is rolling. This is a problem for me too. Also my fingers become less obedient when the camera is on. I just tell people: you should hear me when I'm not being recorded :-)

  • I'm getting better these days, I don't rush it so much. At first it took conscious effort, but now it is just starting to happen. Definately related to performance anxiety ;)

  • That was really cool!

  • dude, goood. heh heh, nice.

  • Awesomee !

I almost prefered this version than with the lyrics (Well, i said almost) =D

  • haha, verspielt!

  • SHIIT!! THAT'S AMAZING!!

  • hmm.. listening to the guitar makes me think of another classic song.

"...you are the best, can you dig it? i dont really play the guiar, but i had you going for a minute..." tehehe! :)

  • Superb!

The one man orchestra playing a great song!

I have been trying to learn your version of here comes the sun, keep up the great work!

  • great timing. Sounds good at that speed.

  • When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,

A miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.

And all the birds in the trees, well theyd be singing so happily,

    Joyfully, playfully watching me.

But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,

    Logical, responsible, practical.

And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,

    Clinical, intellectual, cynical.

  • really really awesome you got talent

  • man you are freaking awesome

    great song

  • very nice!!!!!!!!

can you play "school" by: supertramp

thank you for all your videos.

    god bless

  • eres muy bueno ehhh!!

  • Where do you study to play the gitar?

  • Anywhere that there is someone better than you works.

  • Very Beautiful song))

  • guitar face!

  • epic!

  • I hate that song , but you made me like it!Sounds pretty sweet when you change tempo. Seems like the hardest to play out of your tabs to me. How often do you play?

  • Hardest song out of my tabs would be Canon in D and Crazy Little Thing Called Love.

I try to play for about 30mins every day, but I've got 3 young kids and I work fulltime so sometimes I don't make it!

    JAW

  • so want to beable to do this . got damn,

  • its fairdinkum

  • thanks JAW.

  • ya i love this song glad u posted it ^^

  • hey in the description u say, this is an arrangement simplified from Naudo's arrangement, mmm does that mean u actually have naudo's arrangement? if so may i ask where u actually got it from? or did u just get how he played it by watching his video? Great channel btw, i love your taste in music

  • We all wish Naudo would put out tabs! Nah, I watch how he played it and worked it out myself.

Glad you like my stuff, thanks for stopping by! ~~~~JAW

  • Nice, nice job. I has some elemnts that Naudo's version doesn't have though I prefer his ballad like tempo.

  • Hello Jaw,

Actually, your old beater sounds pretty awesome.

Your playing is better than ever. This looks like a pretty difficult arrangement.

    Keep up the great playing.

  • Thanks Mark, although I don't feel like I played this one all that well.

The old beater isn't too flash, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve as to how to get a good sound from bad equipment. Well, it isn't really a trick, it is quite simple! Several people have asked me about how I get a good sound from a guitar without a pickup from a webcam mic...I think I'll have to do a video tutorial...

Not that it matters for you, your sound is always great!

  • i only just found this.

its you, but on a nylons string!!!

looks like a good piece to play.

anyway, good to see you on a classical even if it is not your new one. what make of guitar have you ordered?

btw, the sound doesnt sound the bad on this video.

  • New guitar still hasn't arrived (only about 4 months overdue.) Yammy CGX171. Soon they tell me! I played this piece pretty awful, looking back at it, it is actually a really good piece to play, try it I think you'd like it.

That guitar is my old 80's classical student guitar. Yamaha G231 II. I had to file down the saddle a bit to make it playable again (stored in roofspace for 10 years) and now the intonation is bad...but I'm making do until new guitar...and some new songs!

    Thanks P ~~~~JAW

  • this video wnet live weeks after naudos but you have double the viewings. how is that?

i'm not saying its not as good as naudos but its weird dont you think?

what new songs do you have? I have so many to record but i am spending most of my time pissing around with the equiptment trying to get a good sound. i cnt seem to get a good sound no matter what i do. what mic do you use? do you plug straigt in to the PC?

    speak to you soon.

PS put your guitar away and have a tidy up :)

  • Why I have more viewings than Naudos: Firstly, somebody else has posted a duplicate of his song...so his vid is getting 1/2 or so of the hits. Second, I provide tabs so: (a) gets people interested, there is "more value" watching a guitar vid when the tabs are there (b) keeps people coming back over and over while they rewatch and learn the song.

There are a few other reasons but I've run out of characters.

I've run a website for 10+ years and I understand a bit about "selling" ;)

  • Are you in a hurry you play like you are.

I don't like this as much as you other video's.

    Walter

  • Yeah, I realised later that I was playing it so fast because it was cold in the shed ;)

I actually play it about 2/3rds that speed and it sounds much better. But alas, you can't update videos on youtube so that is that...

  • great 5 stars

  • You play it much better then Naudo!!

  • Nah, Naudo is The Master, no-one could play it better than him. I have however made it easier for us mortals to play a simplified version of it!

But thanks for the vote of confidence, you just pumped my tyres up an extra 100kPa ;)

  • very very nice,enjoyed!

  • Great work. You are really adapting to this style and getting a great sound and an energy that fits the song. It's a good day when I see you have posted a video. Please keep them coming.

  • Thanks JMD, plenty more to come yet. How's your stuff going?

  • I have been playing a couple of Hiroshi's songs and working on a couple of my own arrangements. I just need to find my camera in a bunch of boxes after I moved...I'm looking forward to hearing you christen your new guitar with a new song when you get it!

  • Impresionante bellisimo!

  • nice

  • brilliant on so many levels!

one the best arrangements I have ever heard! stays very close to the original and brings out all the parts!

  • Thanks! Check out Naudos version, I based this on his, but mine is simpler, not as good, but easier for us mortals to play ;)

  • woooooo!!! very nice!!! love this song!!great job!!

  • Great job, Jaw is back. What's about your Maton, hope its not broken. Would brake my heart.

  • Sounds great! another one from Jaw Thanks for sharing

  • Hey man, nice job. Can't wait to hear your new guitar. It is a classical or steel string? Have you tried Naudo's Sultans of swing yet? IU think you are doing a great job. Keep 'em coming!

  • Nylon, but more of a small body flamenco, best played plugged in. Thanks! ~~~~JAW

  • Ahhh, Sultans of Swing, one of my all time favorites, too. I know you have your own agenda to tab, Jaw, but if you're taking any votes, count mine for Sultans of Swing (Naudo's version is, as usual, fabulous). Great new song as well! Thanx!

  • Yep he does a great version, but *complex*. At the moment I'm interested in building a bigger repetoire with some of his stock, so "easy" pieces that sound great I'm focusing on.

For instance, last night transcribed and learned "Baby can I hold you". Don't specifically love the song, but his arrangement sounds great; I tabbed and mastered it in about 4 hours. I'd record and post a vid but still waiting for new guitar to arrive!

    Rock on CHD ;)

  • I understand and, actually, agree. I spent months last year learning Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, in which time I could have learned 3 or 4 other songs and am still nowhere near having it at a public playable level. That's one of the reasons I've been focusing on learning your arrangements - they sound great, are complex enough to be challenging, yet are "learnable". Your song selections are also right in line with my tastes. Keep up the great work JAW, can't wait to hear your new string box!

  • whoa!! awesome!

  • Good Job! NICE AWESOME CONGRATS*****

  • WOW!!! BRAVO!!!

  • Jaw, Great to see your back with a killer arrangement - Love the heavy block chord treatment - You screwed up my brain the melody has been in playing my head all day ! -John

  • 5* ..mate .. i was singin the words along to it.. tell your wife shes out of order for making you play in the doghouse..repost this with your new guitar for comparison

  • ;) Thanks jam...I'm not sure what to do when I get my new guitar - I should probably redo *all* of my tunes here, they all sound bad to me!

  • Even those you played on your acoustic guitar sound bad to you?

  • Again a very nice arrangement (as usual). Wish I had some off your talent to create such nice melody and bassline on the guitar (and be able to play it).

  • Naudo is the master, I'm just following in his giant footsteps :)

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Frankly this is an excellent cover

    I am very impressed Bravo

  • very very cool im really enjoying this one, very exciting version

  • Very nice, hope you made it to work on time!

  • awesoem song and job.........sounds good from here ...cam mike works fine..keep them coming!

  • Nice to see some new stuff, Jaw :~)

Good job with this song - and I hope you enjoy your new baby when it arrives!

  • Hey, superb anrrangement.tice

    I've noticed 2 points:

-You play on classical guitar with nylon strings

-You have a handy blue cooler

  • Aye, going back to my classical ways after playing steel for 10 years. Next guitar is a nice flamenco styled nylon stringer.

Doesn't everyone have a handy blue cooler? ;) (should clean out the shed before turning on camera me thinks)

  • brilliant playing JAW!!!

enjoy playing your new guitar when it finally arrives!!!!

    all the best,

    Joshua

  • Well played dude.

  • Hi Jaw my friend! Excellent playing as always! 5***** bye, Marc

  • Your groovin' here!

    Well done,

    Pascal

  • I mean smokin' ;)

  • Heh, thanks QP, smokin' too much in fact. In the light of day I can see now I rushed it, should have done another take at a nice steady pace. Camera anxiety ;)

  • whats wrong with the maton

  • omg yes i love this song

  • Now that was really good. Forget the new guitar, you don't need one! *****

  • I always enjoy your videos, good job man.

  • impecable!!! i like the way you play in all your vids....

  • Cool! supertramp is one of my favorites!
