  • my grandfather lived in brest for a bit in 1940, and left in '41. is this before or after 41?

  • @howardkevinm This was in 44' after the Germans Surrendered. And Brest is a very different city now than it was when your Grandfather lived here. It was a beautiful city that looked kind of like Bordeaux,and after the bombings,there was only one street in the entire city that remained untouched(Rue St Malo),which is two minutes from my home.

    j'ai bossé 10 ans dans cette base ,elle a a peine changé et tient toujours debout mais devrait etre bientot fermée ...
