BMW E60 angel eyes replacement installation right side

I have a 2004 525i. I replaced both angel eye light bulbs (one bulb per side lights both rings - got LED versions on eBay 220889421034 for about $30). I did not need to completely remove the casings but had to loosen them & slide out about 3/4" to fit my big hands into access place. You'll need a T27 star screw driver bit (and 5" extension) to loosen the deep screws; top ones need T30. That was it; worked like a charm. Took me 30 min to do replace both bulbs.

no need to removed the whole thing there is access cover on the rear of the assy head light, open it and twist 1/4 ccw the halo on the upper part and the parking bulb on the lower part. simple as that.

I ordered 7000k LED Angel light (plug n play) online and have installed them. I noticed that when the lights are on they cause static on some radio stations, and when their off its perfectly fine. Anyone know of a fix?

@andyeccles10 you know the two smaller torx bolts at the bottom rear of tthe lamp, i lost one and bmw cant seem to find the code for it for replacement. I looked on realoem website and it doesnt seem to be illustrated except for one bolt which when i ordered came as a normal hex bolt which the bmw guy said may just be a new replacement type but it cant be as its much fatter!!! do you know the size or type so i can reorder? cheers

Man this vid helped SOOOO MUCH when we were trying to replace our Xenon's. The actual thing is easy, the hard thing was taking the whole unit out and putting it back on. But thank you so much, this really does help a lot!

after watching this video several times. I finally did the swap-out. didn't know how to take out harness at 1:18. so my headlights were still clinging on to the hood. my hands were too big to fit inside the circle where the bulbs were so that for me was a bitch!!!!!!! For the tools I had, I had to remove the "hood-latches" that run across the front of the hood because they were in the way of the bottom screw. make sure the new LED marker is properly tighten down. eyes appear dim if not.

this guys is good however, the guy didnt turn on his lights and thats because they will still be yellow. He forgot to get a resistor for the bulb to be super white and to avoid error msgs on the computer. You need mtech 2 bulbs which are bright white and dont have that issue.

Yea one bulb does both rings. You have to take the casing off. It's easier to get to the OEM bulb to replace it. It's not enough room to get your hands down there.

i changed both the angel eyes to a white 7000K LED i looks really good!

the mistake i did at the first time was that i missed a screw,there are 4 of them so think about that when u gonna do it!

My 525i / 2004 needs to replace one Xenon light in the Dealer told me that they have to remove the front bumper so I have to pay for it like 260$, and now I see that is not true. wow wow I can't believe it.
