I like how this os. (though still in the making) Is web based with a login with just an email account... Imagine the possibilities your data on your computer would follow you to wherever you login... AWESOME.
when chromium comes out i'll either buy a really nice netbook and install chromium on it or just see if google sells computers with it or something like that, most likely the first thing is best :D!

I love how the project has only recently been (very, very quietly) let known to the public and is still in the alpha stages of developement, and critics are pointing out "flaws" that are showcased features towards the developer audience of this platform.
This isn't the final OS. The proper final release of Chrome OS is an entire year away. Chronium is just some source code to allow developers to contribute to what will eventually be the OS. But it will pretty much be web-focused..
So... where do you save files to? Like if you want to save a picture from flickr... is their a base file system? And, can you access that file system for saving and loading files?

All it is is a distribution of Linux with just a browser. Too limited and almost definitely the WORST Linux distribution

I haven't used it but I'd imagine you could still save files to you harddrive and open it with an app inside the web
