  • that you'd loved me still the same... <3 no matter is a cover, this son is great

  • Such a sweet song. I can see someone rocking a baby back and forth swaying to the rhythm.

  • löscht mal dieses video. so eine scheiss quallität ist ja bei weitem nicht mehr zu ertragen.

die music ist klasse. aber die quallität ist ja echt zum kotzen

  • she sounds good. but a lot of her songs are the same sounding. and she looks like she lip syncs even when she really sings. i dont get it. good voice tho

  • so relaxing...lol the music video is kinda random. well, I didn't even think that Marble Halls had a music video.

  • If only enya smoke weed!

  • Thank You!!!

  • IN 1841, Alfred Bunn wrote lyrics to the musical opera of "Michael W. Balfe's" The Bohemian Girl.

THEIR track was titled Marble Halls. It was first performed at Drury Lane Theatre in London on November 27, 1843. It was 1'st popularised by actress Julie Bishop

AKA Jacqueline Wells in 1936 for the FILM VERSION of "Balfe's Opera" ( The Bohemian Girl). Then in 1991, Roma Ryan along with Enya transformed it again from Enya's album Shepherd Moons.

  • I luved that song, since it was sung at Michael Flatley's Feet of Flames... makes all the hair at the back of your neck stand up! great song!

  • You should here the version by celtic women

  • Dear LandL, it was NOT (!) written by Enya.

Sorry for that. It's a song from the operetta "The Bohemian Girl" as already explained below.

But the Enya-Version is one of the best. Love her!

  • i_love_enya_period_.

  • What are you talking about?!!!!!!!!!!

  • Enya did NOT write this song... Michael W Balfe wrote it in 1841... its been covered alot.... and as much as i love Enya.... she does NOT compose/write all her own songs- quite a few are old classics/forgotten now that she has covered.

  • No she did not compose this. It was from the operetta, the Bohemian Girl.

  • Stunningly Lovely song.Beautiful Voice,Beautiful Singer,GREAT,Thanks for posting it.

  • Simply beautiful! It's one of my favorite songs of Enya's. Did Enya compose this song?

  • Yes, Enya compose all her songs :)

  • sorry, I'm afraid this particular song wasn't composed by her :) 'Marble Halls' was written by Alfred Brunn. There are some other songs Enya didn't compose herself, like 'How Can I Keep From Singing'(I know it's hard to believe!) But she's done beautiful arrangements. You can check my info on Enya's official site in discography. thank you for adding this unique video, LandL. regards, d17

  • This song was not written by Alfred Brunn. It was composed by Michael Balfe for his operetta, "The Bohemian Girl", as walteudfel78 said. Please look it up.

  • @LandL No, this song comes from an Irish opera called The Bohemian Girl which was composed in 1843. This sog was covered many times before Enya

  • @pianogirl98 it was writtenby Michael Balf who died in 1870.....

  • @pianogirl98 No. It was composed by W.M Balfe. It's from a turn of the century (that is, turn of the last century) musical called "The Bohemian Girl". Not sure of the date of its composition, but it was before 1915. I have it in a music book which was published that year.

  • @ThePeaceableKingdom Oooops! I replied before reading the rest of the comments, and now I see that this has already been answered. Sorry. Didn't mean to sound like a know-it-all, just trying to help. Oh, well...

  • @pianogirl98 No she did not compose this song. It is an aria from an Opera of the XIX century, but she arranged it to her style, so what can more I say.

  • @pianogirl98 No, this song is from "The Bohemian Girl". A comedy version with Laurel and Hardy was filmed in the 1930s.

  • "my grandmother sung me that song, my mother knew that song and, you know, so it's a very, very favorite song of mine." Enya on Week Edition 12/20/97 (is this vid from the same interview?)

it's also my most favourite Enya performance. i sleep to this song as a loving lullaby, together with Watermark, I May Not Awaken, and Fairytale, and wake up smiling from a sweet dream (: thanks for sharing!
