Just to get some of your opinions, the old lady said that she and her husband use only around RM20 a day, do you think an average couple or 2 people in the city can live with RM20 in total for a day? Would like to hear what you think.
On the previous comments regarding the long-term solutions to portrayed families' impoverished situations, how can you expect students and un-sponsored students at that to make any big changes to a topic, no... an an international issue which has been debated and battled since civilization began?
"Inspiring, But what purpose?"
That IS the purpose, to Inspire. And as such I think it would suffice to say that this effort has already achieved its purpose and more. Good work.
If you guys do solve their problem, I think you can put the video that you help them at the end, it can really add a additional mark for your documentary, and it might inspiring more peoples than you expected. Hope my comments won't too tough to you, it's just comments! ^^
@NeoTheMatrix93 We actually bought bandages and some of the things that the old couple requested for the next day.We visited both the families the following day with supplies that we personally could afford to buy. There's actually an organisation that's helping these families already.Due to the limitation of the duration of the documentary given in my assignment,I couldn't add in the 2nd day's activities in this video. I'll post a link to show you the organization and their campaign. Thx again!
@NeoTheMatrix93 There is this organization called I Love Kluang. Every second week of every month, they will distribute basic necessities for these peoples at the Railway Track. I used to join this organization before I went to study at KL n yes I'm from Kluang. This video showed us how grateful we should be and to inspire young people that they can make a difference.
Thanks for the comments and help us spread around.
For the India family, did you find someone or some idea to help them get rid off the flood problem? If the purpose of the videos is only for inspiring people, I think is a bit imperfect. Just imagine if you are drown in a trouble, someone comes but they just have a conversation with you, how do you feel? You guys bring us the inspiring video, but you guys are the one who brings hope to them.
Feel so ashamed on me. I live in a better house than they, I have a better life than they, but i still complaining all the time. I now learn and understand the word "appreciate". We should not compare with others, and envy others life. There is a chinese phrase "知足常乐" that i should make it as motto of my life.
Inspiring video. But what's the purpose of this video? Show the people living in poverty and ask us appreciate what we have? Did you guys help them? You might bring something they needs, but did you guys solve their long-term problem? Just like the old couple, they need money to buy medicine and food, how long can they last for the thing you bring to them? And the couple is so old already, did you know who's gonna help them after they die?
We should appreciate with what we have now. We have all the things that they don't have and yet we think it is still not enough. We wanted more. Like the old auntie, she never wanted anything even when given 3 wishes. Something needs to be done. There is a lot of things that we as a society can do to help them to give them hope. E.g organize charity, spread awareness and be a volunteer. Change is what needed. You can make a difference if you are willing to change.
If you give me 3 wishes, i will definitely ask for 3 more wishes. but the old couple didn't ask for anything. They just request for basic medicine care.I've change my mind after i watched the video @@ I can't imagine that i have to sleep under the bed like the kids do. We feel happy when it is raining because it will be colder but they are worried that their living place will be flooded.Feel sad......
feel sorry for the old couple..and when auntie is asked about what are her wishes she said she never think about that, feels like she doesn't expect much on herself..just like...giving up *luckily uncle take care on her..for the 2nd home, concerning about the flood during rainy days..is it because of the blocked drain?maybe the rubbish had blocked the drain and the water can't flow away...
@3382Lucky Regarding the flooding situation, I also think it's the rubbish that blocked the drain. But there's an organization helping their family and hopefully they'll be able to help solve the flooding situation. This place is actually in Kluang and most of us are from KL. If we have the time, we'll definitely go back and meet them again as well as to offer help in any way we can. :) Do spread the video to create some awareness! Thanks!
that`s right,we have to be appreciate for everything we have! After what I saw, I can not say this is the life, it is just surviving every day. They have ceased to dream of something bigger! That is sad..
The old couples don't even dream big to live in bungalow or own a big car, their only hope is to get help from others to buy some foods, to get medicine for the auntie. These are basic necessities for life but they could not afford it. On the other hand, kids nowadays demand for an iPad, a smart phone, those luxury things which are not necessary. I found it ridiculous when i read the article about a teenager who willingly to sell her body for an iPhone. Happy with what you own lo ~
