My old man said that in the 60's if you liked Riff Pilchard you were dead uncool. The 60's without Cliff is as powerful as the 80's without Kylie in that it wouldnt make any difference, no-one is arsed. The 60's were a culture shift that was AWAY from him because he stood for the establishment. Move it was a good single and when I look at the old vid he has a rebel without a cause look to him, but then he became sanitised and safe, kids dont want that so I guess he was uncool.

as much as I like Chic Nile is wrong, Cliff is a 60's legend who had lots of hits in the 60's and should be played on the station as much as the Who, The Beatles or the Stones.

I don't like Cliff Richard, nor am I a Christian – but I am glad Richard was one of the few uncool people to NOT smoke pot. Thankfully there were still a few people speaking out against degenerate influences in the western world.

@maryjane9921 Hit a nerve did I? Sorry, but we live in a democracy. I stand by everything I wrote in my post. Oh, and regarding the Amazon stats, that DVD only got released 12 days ago. His fanbase who'll buy anything by him regardless of wether it's any good or not, go out and buy his 'music' in the first few weeks. After that his sales plummet. I know this because I work in a music store. It's called blind devotion and you clearly suffer from it. Now YOU & Cliff go take that short pier walk!

My first thought is who is Nile Rodgers? What a cheek he has. Sir Cliff has had 15 number one singles, over 130 hit singles, over 6 decades. He is the only artist in history to have had a number one in five consecutive decades, and hits in six consecutive decades. His continuous span of chart weeks is well over 20 years. He has sold well over 21m singles in Britain alone, more than Absolute's beloved beatles and stones. He has had more hits than them combined. Enough said I think.

Cliff is the coolest and hottest entertainer on this planet and in our time, and there will never be any1 like him. Unfortunetly for Cliff they have used used him for a cheep and low publicity stunt, which off course has backfired on them! Cliff is number 3 on the Bestselling Amazon.co.uk dvd chart! So up urs Absolute Radio - Cliff doesnt need you to sell his music - he has his fans! Enuff said.
