God is just a result of our primitive thinking. If there's something that's too complex for us, and we cannot rationally explain, we ultimately assume that's a ''God''. There is no ''God''.

I am quite religious and I definitely believe in prayer but I agree with uxorr on the happiness chain reaction. If every one is happy they show the expressions of being happy which alone sets off thoughts of happiness in one's own mind. Which makes you think of your happiest memories causing nostalgia. Either way I wouldn't mind if everyone thought happy thoughts and prayed.
Truthfully, I think your going too far into it. Sure if you walk into a room full of happy people then their happy mood will influence your own, but that's because the way the ACT is why their happy. Their happy acts influence your own thoughts, thus influencing your acts. People do not have the ability to read minds, people determine how others are feeling by how they act, their body language etc etc. I like how you go into stuff though =D
Very interesting. I am personally an atheist. I cant say that none of this is true because I know there has been studies. But what I can say is that, when someone is sick, injured or missing, and I am thinking about them. I am not necessarily praying (praying to a greater being) Because I don't exactly believe in such a thing, but I am "hoping" that somehow, something will happen to make things better.
Whether it be someone accidently finding a cure or stumbling down a hill and finding a missing person. I guess in most peoples books that would be considered a "miracle" which in most cases religious beings would say it was an act of god. I personally believe that such a thing cant happen so therefore when I'm thinking about someone getting better. I believe that all I'm doing by thinking this way is cheering the situation up.
